Help for my music exam...

Tomorrow morning I have a music exam bu6t can't seem to find my notes on Verdi...if anyone knows a bit on this composer, would they please find it in their little online hearts to help me?

the only thing i know about him was that he was a composer around the time of the italian revolution, and revolutionaries chanted viva verdi during his operas, which had a double meaning, and mean long live victor emmanuel re di italia (long live victor emmanuel king of italy)

believe it or not, i didn't use google to get that info, it was all from memory. How i remember this stuff i'll never know.
