Those watching the Game Awards surely didn't expect the bomb that dropped today. They actually hyped the moment a bit having Aonuma appear in set, definitely cool. But we still weren't prepared for the video
Especially for what shows at minute 2:16. What do you think?
Also, Breath of the Wild has won Game of the Year!

Yeah, check it out, Claraviolet!

I've heard of this cards for a while. Since they are not by Nintendo, I have kept my distance. In saying that, I think they are a neat idea. Considering Nintendo dealt the Animal Crossing cards, it would have been nice to have an option to get the rest in this format. Not everybody wants the clutter of the characters and by themselves, they could even entice collectors paying twice for having the favourite characters in both formats.
I am happy with the figurine collection so I am okay buying Amiibos. The only one I really wish I had and I haven't gotten around buying is Ganondorf.

Is anyone watching it?
Got any opinions on which ones will win on each category? If you came here after the stream is over,
Did your predictions turn out right? -
I hope it doesn't effect tagging in any way though
I shouldn't affect old tags. Once the post is done the link to your account goes by your user number.Alright, will change your name today and try to figure out a new name for me, hahaha.
-
Yes. Between the days of December or Early January, I will revert them back.

Pretty awesome! Do you stream only Nintendo games?
Thank you. This is actually my first ongoing attempt at streaming. I am not closed to the idea of streaming other games that are no Nintendo.
Had to cancel this week. Sorry.
Work.Will stream next Monday-Tuesday.

Alright guys, time to kick the festive season. This is something often done in communities and I'd love if this year we can join in.
Basically, the idea is that we dress our avatars/banners and our username with something Xmas related. It can be changing your identity so for example, you'll be Santa Claus, or just by adding something to your name. If you don't want to change your name that is alright, it is all completely up to you.
I am still choosing my own username, and of course I want you to know who started the thread, just in case.
I am also, thinking of holding a contest for the top 3 best sets to take place right after Christmas.
So, dress for your best.Anyway, All I need is for you to post your desired username.

I think this forum is great - you already have a friendly and welcoming group of people here. Of course, you probably need a lot more of those to keep it active, but that's something I have no idea how to achieve. That's up to you, boss!
Thank you, yeah. I want to bring out the welcoming people we have and also bring new members. Anything helps, so feel free to invite anyone you think could enjoy the community.
Anyway, just wanted to say I'll always be lurking! I 'joined' your community several times in the past and this time I'm staying.
That means a lot to me and I am really happy you are around. I can't always answer with the depth of knowledge in some topics. So please don't hesitate to talk about anything you like.
Do you have a gameplan? Like, a demographic you're going to target? There's quite a few people here around my age or older, and we elderly folk tend to lack the bottomless sack of time that younger folk have to be crazily active.
My gameplan right now is to reorganise some with the staff regarding contests, forum activities and overall improving our communication. I want to unify a bit more the Spanish and English communities to make things easier on me so I will be asking you guys feedback with some stuff and implementing some of the old suggestions we discussed previously here but never really acted upon. Starting next week I also want to advertise other communities I know are okay with advertising and get people I know from other communities to register with us.
I think it is also worth mentioning that I am doing this effort in conjunction with the Spanish side.
I am a huge fan of tater tot’s so if we can get those integrated into the community thinks would be great
Agreed. It'd go nicely with the drinking bar right at the lounge.
Just to let you know, guys, dang my luck. Seriously but a chain of little somethings happened at my work place a few days after this thread and have pushed me to the sides, just so don't think I am evaporating again. It is hard for me to change my habits but I am trying to make sure to be here is small bursts every day rather than hoping to get two hours of catching up, otherwise I will never be able to move on. Had to delay things a bit but activity wise I think we can really make this month more entertaining.I missed thanking you guys on thanksgiving day but I am really grateful for all the members here that have been my friends, even the ones that are not active right now. Many of you I met in other communities and it has been a complete delight making memories with you and having you around. I wanted to make a great detailed post but since I couldn't I don't want to miss at least telling you this.

Hahahah. That's pretty awesome.

Wow. Somehow I survived the first area. Yay.
Will stream again possibly next Monday or tuesday -
Watch me on twitch:
Or through Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/user/Kaynil/liveAs you know, or you might be surprised to learn, I never finished :TLoZ:: :SS:
I want to change that. By streaming, I want to share with you all that glorious milestone!"Yadda Yadda"
I bought the game on day one, but our location was susceptible to floods, so I had to pause my sessions. It came at a time of a lot of hype and before the official timeline was revealed, thus the communities were ripe with theories and the social networks with spoilers and some major ones came to me before I could even pick up the controller again to make a decent progress. This got me really heavily and I knew it was going to be years before I could finish the game.
November has been online, thanks to PBG's tradition, considered by many the Zelda month, so it was only fitting I started this game now. I am still figuring out times to stream but I will be making the event before hand so you can check how long before I stream again and be notified if you're interested.
My first episode was an in the heat of the moment, so I didn't have time to announce it. Basically, it was the Skyloft tutorial. It will absolutely make my day if you pop in and say hi in the chat some time.

Seems like the order of the news are determined by the order in the forums, so I am posting here to bump your message to the top of the news.
I could just change the board settings for this section to be always arranged by thread creation but then this wouldn't be at the top, so we can do that later. -
It feels weird to invite people to the forum from the forum. If the section becomes public, the old news are going to look so strange.

Our forum member Toxinz1181 has come to us with a petition to Nintendo that he's been trying to spread around, so I thought that it wouldn't hurt share it here.
The petition is quite simple, for Nintendo to make an official port of the game to PC. Perhaps your first reaction might be "but BotW is already available for PC... if you know where to look". However, the idea here is to convince Nintendo to do a legal port. There's no denying BotW has gotten the attention of many and we have seen already many interesting 'projects' related to it. Having Nintendo embracing the community and perhaps even bringing themselves some tools to personalise the experience would be an unprecedented bold move from the company but to see something like this it would take to see a huge demand for it, and bringing Nintendo's attention to the benefits that such a decision could bring them. Nintendo has always been keeping their IPs to the consoles, but recently we have seen them loosening up to the mobile market, so who knows? they might be more receptive now.
Click here to Read or Sign the Petition
I definitely find it a very interesting topic to discuss, regardless if you think it will benefit Nintendo's reputation or that they would damage their sales.
Discuss this in our forums!

Can't blame you, I'd do the same as well. Of course, I would love if the games I bought post-NNID somehow were made re-downloadable without paying again. In a way right now my 3DS has many of the past Zelda games and I kind of regret I didn't get Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks on the Wii U so I am kind of hoping they will be on the switch.
Hopefully it is porting OoT and MM to Switch
I hadn't even thought of that possibility. yeah, it'd be great having OoT and MM on the Switch. -
I found out from Nintendo Enthusiast blog that Grezzo posted a very interesting hiring advert. Inside it they included the line "Would you like to make a legend together? 2"
That two is no mistake. Some years ago after Ocarina of Time 3D was revealed they posted a similar hiring notice with the same invitation. As you can imagine, that legend they hinted turned out to be the remake of Majora's Mask. So today's number two is to ensure is not that same old project. I hope now it makes sense that fishing this line on their notice has sent the gaming outlets to speculate about the possible new Zelda project they could be involved into.
I actually tried to get to their website notice directly but although I found, according to google translate, "urgent hiting" page the logo with what I am assuming is the legendary question is an image so I can't rely on a tranlator directl. Still if you can see the japanese spelling for legend,, then we can pretty much assume this is it. You too can have a browse yourselves to Grezzo's website.
At this time Nintendo hasn't confirmed or denied the possibility.
What game would you like to see remade?
Do you think it'll be for the switch or the 3DS?
Do you even think it is a remake or do you think there is room to consider this could be a brand new Zelda project?
Feel free to join our forums to discuss this with us! -
I really like it too.
And with Xenforo permissions I think we can even make it viewable but in a way that regular members can comment on these threads but can't start threads.
We can create a user group for the website news reporters (or use the webmaster / staff usergroups) to have them being the only ones able post new threads here.I know I might be getting ahead of myself but if we managed that, we could then get rid of the section "gaming news" and have this one become that.

I still use the Wii U (I even use it to play Wii games!) but I do think that for marketing purposes the Wii U cycle has concluded. Nintendo is not making more games nor consoles, so it is pretty clear they have moved on and Switch is their main goal, with 3DS right behind. To be honest, with the whole hybrid concept I am surprised they are going so strong with the 3DS. I mean, those few games released recently are original and pretty interesting.
Gotta agree with Link that using it to stream Netflix is highly convenient. I actually enjoy having them both, Wii U and switch on because I can use the main screen for one and the portable for the other. The wii U did alright. The Zelda remakes were pretty neat and it saw interesting games and concepts. I know I am in the minority but I enjoyed a lot Star Fox Zero.
That game right there was Nintendo taking risks but people complained simultaneously about the things that were the same as the past games and the 'unnecessary' changes so by the end of the cycle Nintendo was playing it safe with simple games to boost sales, like doing crossover with Zelda iconic stuff in Sonic, Yoshi, Mario Kart, Dynasty Warriors ... made uninspired and underwhelming games to give people with Amiibos something to do with them and overall felt like a misdirected cannonball with game ideas that on their own might be interested but instead were shoehorned into well known ones, such as Metroid with that federation Force game. The 3DS had a lot more to keep it going but Wii U, unfortunately, didn't fare as lucky without that third-party support. At least they learned from it by trying to make the switch easy to develop and port games for.
