So... everybody who's familiar with the anime and have watched it seem to have a strong opinion about it.

I am hoping to watch it today, hopefully it is not as horrible as some 9f my friends say.

Memes are everywhere so I already got a bit spoiled. :XD:

Are you planning to watch it?
What did you think of it on its own and in comparison with the source material?

Does this belong here or in games?

I guess either would work but Zelda talk promotes a more in depth answer than the forum games. I guess I can always move it if you guys like me to.

    So...
What would have happened if Darunia had defeated Volvagia in OoT?

I guess Link would had one dungeon less to worry about. Other than that it would be the same Darunia would become a sage and have the 'talk' on the Sacred Realm.

What would have happened if Vaati had killed Ezlo instead of turning him into a hat?

Are there any switch accessories you have your mind on? I am considering getting one of those joycon control chargers.

Not the simple Nintendo one that turns out needs you to link to the console to charge anyway, but ine with a battery so you can keep them charged while you play on the TV.

Ate there any accessories you think a worth a look?

I was considering buying an extra set of joycons to presync in case of having guests over but mamma mía: They sure are expensive.

I mean maybe it is expected nowadays to pay a bit more than a hundred for them but all I can think is that they are more expensive than the games themselves and that makes me harder to justify getting them. Specially since I don't have that group of friends I am eager to meet with and game away.

It is quite an interesting observation the S curve. I think the panic with the climate change is just bow extreme they can be, if the ice age serves of any indication.

As for the generations. I feel being in contact with slang and gentes from 20 years ago is common even for the older generations. The resurgence of our teenager slang and media today is mostly the business milking nostalgia and in a few years they will move to the next decade. The music itself, for better or for worse, has evolved. Think of the icon todays vetsus the ones from before. The terms on today music is different and new genres are still coming up or breaking the barrier of language and location.

Technology wise, I think there was a "law" explaining that after taking certain point the progress would exponentially slow down.

It is interesting to think we ate teaching that point where things are starting to slow down. I think globalisation and the Internet has changed a lot. The differences in culture and mentality makes you question and reshape your own beliefs and it is harder to just assume any old rumour you knew of people of a different nationality is true.

    Welcome, welcome.
That's pretty cool you like Zelda so much to have fb page. Thank you for taking the te to create your account and let us know a bit more about you, Sir Syndicate. :-D

There are some differences, from what I heard, mostly in lighting effects and draw distance but other than that you are getting pretty much the same.

I think the switch os a technological upgrade but not all the way, as Nintendo never been into pushing to the limit. But the bump is good to get to a very nice portable / home console hybrid.
This video cover the the first minutes of the game.

Yeah Im to lazy to go back on my Wii U version now. I only have like 54 there

Well, I am not an uber completionist myself. I think doing everything on one file to know exactly what you get is fine, then next plays you can focus on the stuff that you might actually care from the shrines like the climbing gear.
This is not my most recent, but still from this month

I have located more shrines that I just haven't gone through.

This comes from the first DLC. It is my understanding some of you have already beaten it. I just had a small go and I made the mistake of not preparing myself for it. So anyone reading this, make sure to buff in hearts and attack or defence before heading in as they will keep your buffs and hearts as the starting point.

I only made it to the first breather through the beginner part. Since it goes by "floors" it kind of reminded me the Arcades n Fighting games where you test your endurance by going battle after with whatever health you had left from the last battle and just a small chance to recover just a fraction before heading out again.

Anyway, it sounds like a pretty fun challenge. Since you can't save while you are into it I had to leave unfinished but I would like to be able to finish it before facing Ganon, as I am sure it could help me to better my fighting skills as right now I am a total clutz.

For those who have beaten it, what did you think of it? What did you like and didn't like about it?

I am back to it. There have been changes since last time we discussed it here. It is a good excuse to walk around during the morning. It is interesting the raid mechanic and the changes to the Gyms.

It amuses me this thread got bumped today. Last tuesday we did a podcast for the Spanish side of the communities and I was talking about Vaati.

I basically see him as a mixture of other villains but without going to the extreme. He has multiple transformations and he has a humanoid begining (like Ganon), shows some childish pranking traits like turning his master into a hat when he forbade him touching the granting-wishing one (just like skull kid turned Kafei into a kid).

For me Vaati is more chaos than just plain evil. He likes to play with pray to amuse himself rather than going for the straight kill. He is a show off, who rather than stopping Link, he underestimated him and taunted him right until he was in the final battle when Link gave him a spank that made him realise his mistake.

He is also fond of the ladies, being the first thing when he is released to kidnap the beautiful lady he saw to force her to marry him.

If :FSA: is anything to go by, he was never the big shot he thought of himself, having Ganon using him as a mere distraction to slow Link as he knew Vaati would be defeated.

Anyway, an interesting character that got my attention from the begining. As it seems like have the circumstances been different he would had just been a trickster picori but his obsession to be the best and his attraction to the dark hearts twisted him until he became that one-eyed purple blub with tweezers and overly small wings.

Ever since the release of the switch console and Breath of the Wild for both platforms, there has been some online debate regarding the status of the Wii U.

The same console that people were loud about Nintendo flopping and how they should abandon ship is now often talked around on how Nintendo better not pull the plug on it just yet or how by comparison the Switch doesn't offer much to jump on it.

Nintendo has ceased production of the console, however there are a few games still being cross released for it, but it feels like Nintendo has decided to focus
their efforts on the Switch and 3DS. The Wii U is on its way out, but at what point will you consider it dead? Is it when the switch was released? Is it when iy stops beimg manufacyured? Will it be after the last game (even ports) being released for it?

Some people feel like the Wii U, despite its low-comings was given a fair timeframe and it is a good thing to move on while other people feel unfairly left behind just when the console was passing the struggles and getting the good stuff - like :BotW:, the game that many Wii U owners waited through the years and compelled more than a few of them to adopt the system early on.

So who decides when a console is dead: the fans or the company?

How do you feel about this situation?

So today I was on the mall when I decided to test my mobile voice recorder. So I pretended I was doing a phone call in order to force myself to raise my voice a little. My first recording was so shy and quiet given how noisy the mall is. I was still feeling embarrassed but it seemed to help me boost my volume enough to actually record my voice. It felt eternal.

Anyway, it is a common trope the one of people pretending to receive a call or starting one, usually to get out of situations they don't like. For example setting their alarm with their ring tone and pretending that was a call to get excused.

Have you ever done it or know someone that did? Any stories to share?

Surely you have heard or been part of this already. Since BotW came out people didn't lose an opportunity to take selfies with the Blood moon just before the cutscene.

    Classic example:

I would love for us to make a collection. If you own :TLoZ:: BotW:, please make Link take a selfie and post it here! I will make sure to compensate with a medal for your profile.

You noticed this is called Mission 1. This is because I want us to have more BotW related activities we can take part of around the forums and have each of them be an opportunity to claim a badge for anyone willing to participate.

So go ahead and post your Blood Moon selfies.
