Immersion for me is like reading a nice book. You just stop being aware if your own existence and surrounding as you are through it. All that exists at the time is the game world.
It is not about how detailed or simple it is but how you become engrossed to the point you no longer feel a control in uour hands and are thinking about what house chores need to be done.
I find that as I grew up I found hard to retain the immersion because adult mind worries too much to be in the present.
However I think I understand they cam be drop from the immersion with glaws in realistic games. Ut is the uncanny valley struggle. The more a game mimics reality the more anything that doesnt work the way it does in the real world syands out.
Games like a Link's Awakening, Megaman, Banjo Kazooie have their own in game world rules which we accept. Collecting things. Worlds connected by paintings in a Castle. You suspend some disbelief to accept the in-game world.
Trends for realism is not asking you to suspend disbelief but to take the visuals to be like your world. Expect it to work flawlessly.
I don't particularly care about yhe trend. Some games do it better than others when it comes mimicking reality. But I am concerned with the mentality that realism makes a game better. Imagine a realustic X game. Wouldn't that be better? Wouldn't that make the game Awesome?
I need varierity in my games. I like having simple games.
Now ghat it is a business as profitable as movies it is becoming even more formulaic. Giant sand games with realistic graphics. Missions. Padding with Rinse and repeat. Assassin Creed, Grand Theft Auto, Skyrim... it is becoming a paradigm.

Me, I respond like it is my own name..... I have been called Link before by people since my Xbox gamertag has Link in it LOL
It has been my alias online for alot of stuff, since 2000.
There are a few places, CM30's site where someone Linkblocked me and took the name (They havent logged in since June)
Must be frustrating when it is taken.
Hey remember my Link in LLdH. He did came back and posted for first time after I changed him to "Link." : X'D:I also always think in that Link avatar from soul calibour 2 when I say Link refering to you. XD

Mature Discussions.
It would work for the topics in the way that Serious Discussions tag does but with the understanding the topics are not intended or recommended for kids.
If you guys think if instead instead we had an open debate area which allowed NRC discussion, let me know.
I will make a disclaimer either way like @Izagar suggested.
Added: I just checked your post LS and I agree with that. I don't want to give the "we adults you kiddos" brushed aside feel with the area nor make them even more tempted by putting it so out of their reach. Also some adults just don't like that kind of topics either.
Added 2: However my concern is that for alliances and maybe even legal formalities adult discussions we could be in trouble for leaving in the open said topics with kids around. At least the section would have the warning and would make it so kids (and any member) had to check the board manually for the topics (It would not appear in recent posts ).
It works better than "well the prefix said +15" when the topic had already the 'bad' word.

Considering that many of us are 18+ and that probably discussing prostitutes and porn in the open when we have potential minors and parents browsing around I think that perhaps a thread prefix might not be enough.
Just to make clear the area wouldn't be to do away with our rules, but to discuss more freely those topics that are more mature. I know other forums allow disrespect and SPAM but while it'd be an adult company. i don't want it to become disrespectful.
Also, Should this area be password protected or should we leave it open so anyone can check that there?
Closed might seem more suspicious but it'd mean potentially leaving outside people mature enough for the discussion.What requirements should a member fulfill to be able to access the zone?
Anyway, since we're a small community. I think it is alright to talk it in the open and get your opinions.

@Kaynil , perhaps can I suggest some formal rules regarding debating etiquette? I know it's a pain but there doesn't seem to be much understanding about how to conduct a debate or what its purpose is.
This thread was a split of another thread. This is why the first posts and the overall discussion sound off.
This was a diverted discussion from where we were sharing our tumblrs. I asked Servo for his opinion before I renamed the topic to be about porn Immorality and I added the Serious discussion Tag. So I basically changed the rules for him mid-game. At most only posts in this second page are post-topic change.
Anyway, to avoid unnecessary circles I am closing this thread.
I'll remake the thread and let's part from there. Sorry about that.

Disclaimer: This topic is aimed at adults. In no way this topic is to bypass the rules. It is not to share porn. It is just to discuss our views in it.
I decided to restart the thread because the paradigm is a interesting thing to discuss that popped up before, but trying to make a discussion out of a derailed topic didn't really worked out. I want to move on from the other thread negativity and discuss this with people already okay with debating the topic.
Anyway to get the ball rolling this are my thoughts on the matter:
I think we can discuss porn being bad in two ways:
1. Is making porn a bad thing?
2. Is consuming porn a bad thing?I think a lot of the negative image of porn comes from the idea of illegal. There was a lot of negative light about porn because of the exploitation of people and illegal branches like children pornography. Many people think of porn without being able to separate between the illegal one and the ne done with consenting adults for whom their product is their own body. So being associated with it is bad.
Another reason also comes from the taboo about people's sexuality. Society discourages the discussion of these kind of topics.
Lastly, comes to mind that for many, the idea of watching other people doing it and getting a hard on means you must be promiscuous. That somehow you're less loyal.

Only recently I was able to own a SEGA system so i haven't really tried anything.
I remember the first Sonic but i am sure my friends didn't have the system. Maybe some cousin or neighbbour, I dunno.
I remember mostly the press start screen.I did play all the way through ZeroWing on an emulator. That was a pretty good time.
I only have one reason for having Zero Wing in my list and I am pretty sure you already know what it is.
I just wonder how many more fun "transgrantions" you found. -
