Burns in my arms. They are mostly starting to fade but I used to have a fairly visible "#" burn mark from burning myself twice in a different angle.
I also have a cool looking scar in the back of my right hand. Although the explanation for it is that I was a klutz and hit my hand against a the side of a traffic sign as I was running for the bus.
I don't really think much of my scars so if you hadn't mentioned them I'd have forgotten this.

It is a good list to have handy if you catch yourself using "very". I think that for what it is, offering alternatives to a poor "crutch tag", it is a nice thing to keep handy. At least the idea behind it of being alert you're not falling into the trap of using "very" unnecessarily. I guess there is also the trap of overusing adjectives.

I am out of touch with the latest trends but last I knew was that now people favour lectures with easy to digest terms and concise writing. Which I suppose the idea to minimize adjectives may come from. I wouldn't mind you gave us some example or go a bit deeper.

Hey, if you like it and it works for you that is good, keep with it. As for me, I can't put myself in busy on my mobile but I keep invisible there, unless Skype randomly changes me to online. I've had people trying to call me like at 4 am.
That said putting myself in busy also means I don't get sound sor nnotifications so even if people tries to text me I'll probably won't notice in time.

IM = Instant Message or Instant messenger.
Any software that allows you exchange messages quickly in real time can be called an IM.
For example AIM (Aol's IM and YIM, Yahoo's)

Trillian is a cross-protocol Messenger application that allows you to sign in to different accounts at the same time. So through Trillian I am online in facebook Messenger, YIM, AIM and other IM protocols. Trillian is old and it looks outdated and to be honest I installed it rather recently. So don't worry too much about it.

@LinkSkywalker's mention in the shoutbox about "quite" being a filler reminded me of a table I saw on the nets not that long ago. It made me think in the similarities between saying "quite" and saying "very", so I thought it might be an interesting share. I hope you find it useful.

Taking a stab in the dark. I think maybe 40 just sound like the age a person is set in their ways. Most people don't show radical changes after that age. Although to be fair I think you're onto something relating to the too-old-for-that implication. I like that you question it. I wonder too what makes that age so special to serve as a negative thing.
