Why does everyone who posts in this thread assume I'm a dumb person?

Views are higher than posts. That's very normal. I get it.

I guess the game I like the most would be A Link to the Past. Games that I enjoy would be The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. Games I like a little would be Adventures of Link. All the rest would get hucked in the dislike bin for me, I think.

SF64 is on the wii store. I assume it's also on the WiiU store.

Also, @Kaynil , SF64 requires very little investment. The whole game takes about 30-40 minutes to beat. You can easily sit down, play a bit until you die, then walk away.

Ya know what could have been interesting? A dungeon item that turns you into a wolf. Heck, they could even do a zelda game where all the dungeon items are different animal transformations. Link could get a bow in the opening of the game, at the same time he gets his sword. Other items could be part of sub-dungeons. Like the Ice dungeon in OoT. Short puzzles that let you get the hookshot or whatever.

But the main focus of the game would be collecting an animal form in each dungeon, and each would give you special abilities and attacks.

Well, tell Tom he's fucking good at this game.

I mean, I guess you could make the argument that he's faithful and loyal? But really, link doesn't have that much of a character. He's a silent protagonist.

I prefer LttP where he turns into a horrible pink bunny man.

I've gradually become less interested in having kids as I've gotten older.

I dunno, maybe in my late 30s I'll adopt somebody.

For some reason, I never get any kids at my house, so there's no one to give candy to. A couple years ago I dressed up all crazy and ran around the neighborhood threatening children with devouring.

It's not that I think there are better animals for Link to turn into, it's just that I think turning into an animal at all is dumb.

Look, it was a creative leap. I'm not going to criticize them too harshly for trying something I didn't like. The zelda series is very stale at this point, and turning into a dog seems like an honest attempt to freshen things up. But I'd prefer it if that creative leap flowed more naturally from the core of the series. Why does Link turn into a dog? What is dog-like about him? What is animalistic about him? I don't get it.

But the dog thing is merely something that I dislike as a matter of opinion. It's not something that I hate. Like the opening.

That's tricky business, because physical altercations between men and women tend to be viewed only one way by police. There was actually a study done in the '80s that found that in something like 12% of cases where men called the police to say their female spouse was being assaultive, it was the men who ended up getting arrested.

It's one of those places where theory diverges from practice. You _should_ be able to defend yourself, but in reality you're probably be better off not doing it.

If you ever end up in a physical altercation, I think the first thing you need to ask yourself is "Am I in danger?" Did the person who hit you do so in a burst of anger, and now they're done? Or are they going to keep hitting you? If you leave, will they chase you? If you don't fight back at all and contact the police immediately, the odds that you're going to end up in jail are pretty low. If you fight back (against a man or against a woman), then they're probably going to arrest you both until they figure out what they want to do.

If you _are_ in danger, then your technique should be to redirect and subdue, rather to inflict harm. Don't hit them back. Try to avoid their attacks. If necessary, try to wrestle them to the ground.

It's not very macho, but honestly I'd rather not be macho than go to jail.

Biological differences is a super interesting issue that I didn't even manage to get into. In part, we don't even fully understand the biological differences between the genders yet. Nobody starts out being good at this serious discussion stuff. I mean, I literally went to college for 3 years to study the art of argument. And I've met people who run circles around me. My goal is never to win, but to communicate and educate.

I do hope you're not just retreating because you feel overwhelmed and attacked. I really don't want to 'win.' If you have questions or concerns, or if you don't understand something that was said, or if you disagree with something that was said, or if you have a counterexample for something that was said, post it.
