Final Fantasy 1 is groggy as all fuck. I lurve it. Never beat it.

Final Fantasy 2 has some of the best music in the early part of the series, and a really interesting hook. The mechanics are exploitable, but they're exploitable in a fun way. I lurve it. Never beat it.

    I don't like Final Fantasy 3 much.

Final Fantasy 4 is a phenomenal emotional journey for me. It's probably the FF game that I've beaten the most. 4 or 5 times. Story is top-notch. Gameplay is lackluster.

Final Fantasy 5 never really clicked for me. I dunno.

Final Fantasy 6 is probably my favorite game in the series if I'm forced to pick. Story and gameplay were both at their peak here.

Final Fantasy 7 was my first FF. It was my first grownup RPG. My first non-nintendo video game. I love it. I will always love it. It's not that good of a game.

Final Fantasy Tactics is SO FUCKING GOOD. One of my favorite games ever. I never beat it, but only because of that weird fight at the end that you can only win if your main character is a high level chemist. That was bullshit.

Final Fantasy 8 is a really really good game and people who hate it are dumb.

Final Fantasy 9 never really clicked for me. I might have been too old when I played it the first time. I'd like to give it another go someday.

Final Fantasy 10 has a decent story, but hits a series lowpoint for presentation. The mechanics, however, are the best in the series. So all around I'd say it's a great game. One of my favorites in the series.

Then the Final Fantasy series ended and there were no more games.

I've got my own server, so I don't really need online storage space. But I've probably got something I can dump on there for lulz. I'll just have to try to remember how to use FTP.

I'll be in IRC if you wanna dump the info.

Ya know, I was having trouble thinking of an answer to this, but I actually had the same thing happen to me once. I was working as a temp in a warehouse, which was kind of awkward for me. I was the only one of my coworkers who really seemed to give a shit about my own future. They were mostly highschool dropouts who figured this shitty temp job was the best job they'd ever be able to get. One of them was an older woman, maybe 50-60, who told me she'd fuck me if she was younger.

So...what's the most unusual hobby you've ever pursued?

I really love yard sales. For about 3 years I would actually make a point of getting up early and driving around for ~6 hours every weekend, looking for yard sales. I wrote a blog about my adventures called Sailing the Garage Seas.

Yeah, Shovel Knight is pretty much the tops in this genre.

I enjoyed Gunman Clive, though it's very short. Volgarr The Viking probably counts, but it is hard as balls. As in I played for 7 hours and haven't beaten level 2 yet.

This one for sure, but I've never played D&D do I need to read the rules and get that all set in my brain? I played Warhammer and Magic the Gathering a few times when I was 7-10yo that's it though

A bunch of guys crowdsourced a book called Narcosa all about drugs which should come in handy if we end up pursuing that path.

You don't need to learn any rules. None at all.

IF YOU WANT TO: pretty much every game I run is based on Lamentations of the Flame Princess, which is a revised version of the late '70s D&D B/X ruleset. A no-art version of the LotFP rulebook is available for free here:

Although I should also note that one of the many reasons I use LotFP is because it's modular. I run several things differently than Rule As Written LotFP.

HOWEVER: Reading this is completely optional right now. Another reason I use LotFP is because it's simple. I know the rules, all you have to do is show up and tell me what your character does.

If there are ~3 people with interest we can move forward. Otherwise we can put this on hold and wait until we have some more members.

I only suggest it now because I'm actually 100% D&D free at the moment, which is a bummer. All of my games are on hiatus for one reason or another.

Well if anybody ends up rolling, they should let me know. I'm a level 21 warrior named Scaevola, or a level 16 Mage named McJibbins. It's always fun to play with friends.

But I also recognize that WoW isn't a lot of people's jam, and Vanilla WoW is even less so.
