Yeah, the film is great, despite a little more sex than actually benefitted the story.

It works particularly well for me, because I hate racing games. Anytime a group of friends wants to play a racing game, it's like "Whelp...guess I'm gonna spend the next few hours coming in last place. This'll be fun."
But with Double Dash, I can play on a team, and let the other person be the driver. Then all I have to do is focus on drift boosts and using items. Easy peasy.

I'd contest that Shovel Knight would still be an Indie title when it's released on the DS,as Nintendo doesn't really gain control over the game in any creatively meaningful way.
In general, I think it's difficult for a game to be finished, and be indie; then become not-indie because of a business deal that happens later. The only reason I would say that Minecraft is an exception is because
1. It's now wholely owned by Microsoft outright. The original devs don't really have any role in producing it anymore.
2. It's still being updated constantly. So while Shovel Knight does have DLC coming out, that's not the same thing as still being a work in progress the way Minecraft is.

I think this is where the definition of Indie starts to become really confusing. It's kind of easy to decide what is an Indie game. It's more difficult to decide what is not an Indie game.
For myself, I would say that as soon as the creative team becomes answerable to a higher, non-creative authority, it's no longer an Indie game.
If you sit down and make a game all by yourself, it's Indie.
If you have a manager, who isn't working on the game, and they tell you to sit down and make the game for them, then it's not Indie. So Minecraft, for example, is not Indie anymore.

Yeah, this is Civilization 5.
See, Horses are a resource in the game. So you can see, both China (green) and I (red) were trying to grow our territory so that we would control the horses by the river. I managed to claim the territory first.
Then China grew their territory to steal the horses on the right, next to my elephants.
I thought this was a pretty funny screenshot, but I guess it is kinda oblique if you're not familiar with the game.

Caligula occupies a unique space between "normal movie" and "porn." I'm not intimately familiar with the production history, but it goes something like this:
1. Serious people want to make a serious movie about Roman history.
2. They start making their serious movie.
3. Their serious movie has a LOT of sex scenes in it.
4. No studio is willing to release their movie, because it has too much sex in it.
5. Penthouse (a porn studio) says they will release the serious movie.
6. Penthouse says "ADD MORE SEX!"In the end, you get a very serious drama. A masterfully written, masterfully acted film. Plus a looooooooooooooooooooot of sex.
But it's kind of warranted. The actual historical figures (First Tiberius, then Caligula himself) are some of the most diabolical sexual perverts in history.

I gotta say, I really don't like Mario Kart Wii. The controls are way too finnicky.
I recently bought Double Dash, and it's a far better game IMHO

Computer, no question. Though since my room is has a window leading out to the pattio, I would probably spend as much time as I could throwing various books and papers out as well.
QUESTION: If your non-mouse hand turned into a gun and fired right now, how fucked would you be?

I'm almost certain that I'd heard the origins of your name before, but I must have forgotten them. That's neat! I'm always a fan of wordplay, and seeing it explained in a language other than English is cool.
Regarding "Kilovh" by the by: the "H" should be silent. I usually pronounce it like the words "Kill" and "of," smooshed together.

Ugh. I hate being in a position where I've fucked up badly enough at a job that I don't know if I'm gonna be fired. I once made a $500 mistake at my last job, which could have potentially become a $2000 mistake. I think the only thing that saved me was the fact that I'd been in the job for 3 years already, and I had a good relationship with all the upper management.
Good luck finding something a little more fulfilling, Kaynil.
Also, hold the fucking phone, you paint? Why don't we see your paintings? Post your paintings.

You're right, actually. The original picture might have been funnier if I hadn't added text to it.

Of my very limited Spanish vocabulary, "Paisanos" might be one of my favorite words.

For sure, Wario Ware is solid.
I've also been told that Dokapon Kingdom is crazy fun. My sister has apparently spent months tracking it down, and paid out the ear to get a copy.
As for myself...eh. I just went out to go through my (very sparse) Wii library. Nothing stood out to me as worth recommending, except maybe Donkey Kong Country Returns.

90% of the time, I love the fact that I work from home and set my own schedule. But one of the few things I really miss is Friday. It's a guaranteed emotional high at the end of the week when you walk out of the office and know you don't have to deal with any of that shit for two whole days. No better feeling in the world, man.
A happy Friday to all!

I like listening to things. Though, for some reason, I only really started getting into podcasts about a year ago. Here are the ones I listen to, which ones do you listen to?
The Ancient World - http://podbay.fm/show/517589332
A history podcast which discusses the very origins of human civilization. From the ancient Sumerians to the very earliest years of the Roman republic. In particular, the episode discussing the rise of democracy in Athens is fucking good. The show is actually over now, but then he started a new show! That one was about the history of people discovering ancient history. It is also over! Currently he's doing a series called "Bloodlines" which I'm really enjoying. It traces a lineage from Cleopatra (last independent ruler of Egypt who committed suicide after her capitol was conquored by the Romans), and will eventually wends its way down through the generations to Zenobia. The warrior queen of Palmyra who almost took Egypt back from the Romans.
The History of Rome - http://podbay.fm/show/261654474
A history podcast with a fairly obvious focus. It goes all the way from the mythical founding of the eternal city by Romulus and Remus, all the way to the fall of the Western empire. It's honestly a pretty phenomenal podcast.
Harmontown - http://www.harmontown.com/category/podcasts/
A comedy podcast where Dan Harmon sits on a stage and gets drunk for 2 hours. It's pretty amazing. I'm a stupid helpless fanboy of Dan's.
This Feels Terrible - http://podbay.fm/show/535677158
Holy shit TFT is good. It's been sitting at episode 66 for ages now, but Erin swears up and down that she's going to get it started back up again.
The basic format is as follows: Eric McGathy brings on a guest, and they talk about the worst, most fucked up romance stories from that person's history. You learn an awful lot about Erin along the way. She's a fascinating person. And as a man nearing his 30th birthday, who has spent most of his adult life in very successful relationships, I can honestly say that I've learned more about how to be in a relationship from this podcast than I've learned from any other source. (except, ya know, all the stuff I learned from actually being in a relationship). TFT is a must listen IMHO.
Human Conversation - http://www.feralaudio.com/show/human-conversation/
I'mma be honest, this is my least favorite podcast I listen to. As much as I love and respect Erin McGathy, I cannot fucking stand her co-host, Wayne Federman. None the less, I listen to it, because I like to keep up with Erin's projects.
I'm currently on the last 10 episodes of History of Rome. Then I'll have a few weeks worth of catching up to do with my other podcasts, then I'll need to find a new one. So I'd be interested to know if any of you have suggestions.

Fair play to you, China. I'm probably going to slaughter your people in righteous fire someday. But, for today...fair play to you.

I would totally take some LCD if I could get my hands on it. But yeah, perhaps for another thread.
How does my interpretation of the moon children jive with your own?

Hells yeah, man. But it's not one of the good drugs, like weed. It's one of the bad drugs, like meth.
