It's not so simple to be honest. Venusaur's special attack is only slightly lower than Charizard's, Charizard is faster but Venusaur is bulkier. the difference is that Venusaur's bulk and moveset allows for stalling. Blastoise falls a bit behind because his stat's are more defensive, but his moveset doesn't really help him out with a defensive build.

Same thing applies with Johto starters, although Meganium is the bulky one so it's moveset actually fits for stalling which is great. Feraligatr's physical attack is huge, Thyplosion has around the same special attack as feraligatr's attack and is faster but Feraligatr is bulkier.

So basically your picks are just as extreme as mine regarding offensive power.

Just the way the story was extended makes Emerald so much better.

I've played the games with every starter and these two generations are the only ones where I really really like all of them. But these two are probably still my bias.

Yeah they're on different continents not based from japan.

Unova is based on New York and Kalos on France as far as I know.

It's the same reason unova and Kalos are so different from the regions on the first games as well.

so it was announced today that Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata died today due to bile duct growth at the age of 55.

He had an operation last year regarding the same problem and didn't assist E3, although the operation was said successful it seems that the problem returned.

Not much was said about it, nintendo japan left the following message:
"Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth."

Just wanted to take the time to share the news, this really hit me.

RIP Satoru Iwata

I tend to use my 3DS more than the console, but HW HD looks pretty sweet.

It is unknown if HW3DS will feature as much sidequests ike the WiiU version does, I feel it's overwhelming the amount of time you can spent on Adventure mode.
