I see your points. I nearly forgot he was owned by two companies... They'd be much better going with Sonic. At least, as far as I know, he wouldn't be as much of a hassle, AND just about every Mario fanatic has wanted to bash the hedgehog around in a fight, heh... and vice versa.

Very nicely done. The first one is very pleasant... a soft tone. Seems to fit.
And the second, when you look closely at it, the pixelated Espeon really seems to match the look of the background. I can't really explain it... but they go well together, in my opinion.

I wonder if he'll use his cartwheel like he does in Donkey Kong Country/2? THAT would be something.
