~A Hero never remembered,
yet never forgotten.~
I had the "strangest" dream last night. Been a while since I've actually had an enjoyable one.
~It started off in a cavern-like house, where the walls were made of stone, and the ceiling was made of white-painted wood. The lights were very dim, so fire was our main source of brightening up the windowless place.
It was a dwelling place for us members, and each of us were warriors. I was there, as were several other members (though whom the ones that appeared in my dream were, I cannot say).
I was wandering about the place, checking it out. The ceiling of the place was very high -- about thirty feet up. I passed by some members, and made my way to a kitchen (which was the brightest room in the entire "house", as the lights in there worked just fine). In there, there was a member looking around for a bite to eat. (That member, now that I think about it, reminds me strongly of god of zelda because he was "new" to our home as a warrior. So I'll just call him god of zelda here.
)
After taking a brief glimpse of the dining room, I backtracked into a very wide hall, and entered a huge room, where the ceiling was about ten feet higher than the ceiling in every other room. In there, a member resides (I really don't know who it was...). She had created a large circle in her room, and torches were planted at various parts in the circle, making it look like a ring of fire. She stood at the very far corner opposite of me, carrying some kind of doll. It was a doll of Link -- an ancient hero of our place whom had gone to fight Ganondorf years ago, but never returned to us.
As I went in, I heard her softly crying. She noticed me, and I asked what was wrong. She said that she was in love with Link, and wished for him to return...
I felt very bad for her, and in that moment I realized... I was in my dream! I could do whatever I wanted! So, after questioning her a few times about "what Link" she wanted (Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, etc.), I finally came down with an image: Twilight Princess Link. I closed my eyes, and concentrated... concentrated... concentrated... But after a few failed attempts, I was beginning to lose focus and grow weak, so I stopped.
Then the member cried out, and I turned around.
A tall, cloaked figure stood near the doorway, his head staring at the ground. It was difficult to make out what he was wearing -- but upon closer inspection, he was garbed in green.
I felt a strange fear when I saw this Link I had manifested -- he had a very "dark tone" to him. It was almost evil. But the member didn't notice this. She was blinded by her love for him. So, of course, she ran up to him. In that time, I concentrated harder, wishing for this Link to be good... Please be good, I prayed in my heart... And as the girl took of Link's hood, which covered his face in shadow, it revealed a confused, yet good, Link. I was relieved. It had worked.
She embraced him, and he embraced her. I assume the two had some kind of relationship in the past, as they fell in love with each other instantly. Ehh... The power of dreams.
But their reunion was short-lived. A warning rung out -- Ganondorf was approaching our estate, and he somehow knew Link was inside. THIS Ganondorf was ruthless -- he had a very well known record of killing anyone whom got in his way, child and adult alike.
As a result of the warning, Link handed me his Master Sword (GREATLY crafted sword, I have to admit) and said he'd meet us outside with his girl. Nodding, I ran off to the kitchen, and exited a back door there -- a few members were already outside by this time.
It was foggy, but not enough so to be blinded from it. It was more of a faint mist... and behind that mist, Ganondorf slowly approached.
He was soulless. There was no emotion in his face. No evil, no goodness. Simply lifeless expressions that scared the living **** out of me.
I lifted the Master Sword in my hands. But it did not respond to my touch. It would only activate in the hands of its master: Link. So, with me, it appeared useless.
As Ganondorf reached our house, he appeared as if he was about to enter the back door I had just used. But, one of the members -- god of zelda -- had been hiding in the shadows, and struck Ganondorf on the back. However, the King of Evil flung the member away, and muttered some words. With nothing more than a look and lift of his hand, god of zelda internally erupted in flame. He fell to the ground, burning away into ashes. And there was nothing any of us could do.
Filled with rage, I struck the Evil King on the back, hoping the Master Sword would do its work. It did not. But as Ganondorf also swiped me away effortlessly, Link entered the scene with the girl member.
Ganondorf laughed evilly as Link threatened him, but before I could throw the Master Sword to Link, Ganondorf transformed into a horrifying wolfman creature -- half Ganon, half Ganondorf. The Evil Beast rushed towards me, and pinned me to the ground, drooling over me, its teeth gnashing, its clash bared and ready to rip me apart. There was nothing I could do except block with the blade of the Master Sword, and try to get the beast off.
Warriors with bows and arrows began to shoot at the Beast (some of whom I met earlier while wandering the halls), but nothing effected him in the least. He did, however, jump off of me, and chased the archers, where some were slaughtered in the mist... They didn't even have enough time to scream.
I gave back Link his Master Sword, and escorted his loved one away. It wasn't long before the King of Evil-turned-wolfman returned, and he was upon Link. The two were locked in a battle neither had an advantage over. Link clashed with his sword, while the wolfman Ganondorf clashed with his claws and teeth. Ganondorf didn't seem effected by Link's Master Sword at all, even with its owner holding it.
Then Link declared a bold and brave statement: He said, as he was battling Ganondorf, that I had created Ganondorf when I created Link, and that the only way to beat Ganondorf was by "rewinding time", therefore erasing the two from existance.
I was shocked. I didn't want to do this, not to Link, nor to the one whom had loved him and grown so happy to see him. But, in the end, after giving the girl member some time to absorb the scene and gaining her approval, I did as Link requested.
I rewound time...~
I was wandering about the house, checking it out. The ceiling of the place was very high -- about thirty feet up. I passed by some members, and made my way to a kitchen (which was the brightest room in the entire "house", as the lights in there worked just fine). In there, there was a member looking around for a bite to eat.
Then I backtracked and found the girl member's room. I had remembered all the events that had so previously happened. Though time was erased for everyone else, it stayed with me...
The girl member was turned around, holding her doll of Link. And as she turned to greet me, I saw tears in her eyes. Not of sadness, but of joy. She, too, had remembered what had happened, and thanked me for making her smile again, even if the Link she met was nothing more than an illusion. She embraced me, weeping...
And god of zelda passed by the room, curious and unknowing.
That's where my dream ended...
