I believe they own the Witcher franchise actually.

I think that Steam does offer some pretty good deals on some pretty big name titles, but I think the policies that Origin prides itself with are commendable. Also, Origin has handed me more FREE games than Steam ever has. On the house deals up the wazoo over on Origin. Their most recent giveaway (that I know of) was Jade Empire. Imma play me sommadat. ;3
I don't know if comparing them would be fair. Suffice to say, Steam has it's sticky fingers in everything. I can go to humblebundle, or indiegala, or what have you, and buy games that have Steam keys and DRM free copies. I like to put everything neatly on Steam or hand the key to another friend, and keep the drm free copy for myself. I don't know if Origin offers the same deal?
I actually really like G0G. I know it's not an option, but they are amazing. Probably my favorite out of them.

Metagross. The reason?
"Metagross is the result of two Metang fusing together. This gives Metagross four brains in total, all connected by a complex network of neurons. Because of these complex connections and the number of brains, this Pokémon is capable of complex calculations and is more intelligent than a supercomputer."
I would literally have a computer Pokemon with psychic attacks. I could have it mind fuck people or create illusions. It'd be beautiful. -

^ Your avatar is sexy. Also yes to mature. I do think perhaps password protecting, or doing as Izagar suggests is for the best. It's hard to really gauge somebody's true age, and minors might sneak on no matter how you try to prevent it. :/

Irsharde strode along the road with the motley crew she had joined in the last desiccated mess of a village, her hand on her pack lizard Feersha for comfort. She had only joined this group of people, and agreed for Feersha to burden their belongings, so that she could try to make it to Veronif without having to battle brigands, or worse. However, as she listened to two men in the group going back and forth with each other about killing some poor woman, a witch they called her, for ruining the world, she began to regret her decision. She wanted to believe in the hope that possibly, somewhere, there was a cure for the miasma magic had caused to entrench in the world that didn't involve blaming innocent people. The crunch of the flaked and dry earth below her boots was a sharp reminder of the grievous state they were in that soured her mood.
Up ahead, she thought she caught sight of movement, and reached for the long poleaxe strapped across her back. Brushing her hair from her eyes, she squinted across the horizon in front of them to ascertain if there was truly a threat. From her vantage point, there was the same scenery she had seen yesterday, and the day before. Withered trees, dry earth, and Sol baking them alive from up above. She gave Feersha a pat on the lizard's scaly hide and continued the determined, albeit slow, pace that the group had set.
“So lady,” One of the men who had been speaking loudly about killing the “witch” called to Irsharde. “Why ya headin' to Veronif, huh? How didya even get a pack lizard like this? Ya coulda just left without us and gotten there quicker ya know. Seems awfully suspicious to me.” The man next to him nodded his agreement.
Irsharde felt her eyes wanting to roll from the stupidity the man and his friend were now displaying. They had been traveling together for three straight days, and he didn't think to ask the question before then. Unless... “Oh, I see how it is. This is how you do things.” She actually wanted to smack herself for her own stupidity. She had been too dimwitted and naive. “You're going to make this group turn on me, aren't you? Was that the deal all along? How many times have you two done this to people?”
The man glowered at her, but continued his spiel with vigor. “See? The lady refuses to tell us why and tries to accuse us of things instead. Why is that huh? Ya got somethin' to hide?” A murmur of disease rippled through the rest of the gathered folk.
She bit her lip in frustration and straightened herself to her formidable height, her piercing emerald eyes staring the shorter man down. “I was hoping to make this trip the easiest possible. I have nothing to hide. Traveling in numbers is easiest to dissuade brigands. You all know this.” She made a wide sweep with her arm, encompassing the whole group with the gesture. She could sense that Feersha was becoming increasingly agitated, and laid a hand on the lizard once more to settle the beast down.
“Unless ya're a brigand lurin' all of us into a trap! Ya have all our stuff on yer devil of a lizard. Ya could just run with it when we aint lookin! When we is asleep, even!” He pointed his finger at her and then at Feersha. A couple of people in the group started murmuring discontentedly.
She felt her hand curl into a fist. “Take your things from my pack lizard if you don't trust my intentions, but do not accuse me of petty thievery and dishonesty. I wish for nothing than to arrive at Veronif safely.” She resisted the urge to fold her arms, instead keeping herself ready to retrieve her weapon.
“I think ya should leave yer lizard with us instead. Why should we suffer cus' yer a despicable vulture?” The man demanded. Irsharde felt a low rumble coming from Feersha's belly in response to his words.
“Feersha will not be leaving me. I refuse to be robbed of my companion. Trust me or take your things. Period.” Irshade stated, raising her chin defiantly. Before she could react, the other man came from nowhere and slammed his fist directly into her abdomen and gave her a swift shove to the ground, where she sprawled into the muck near the road side.
From her spot on the ground, she could hear shouts begin to swell from the group and the clash of weapons.

I think for certain RPs it could be an interesting idea, but making it a system for ALL RPs would be somewhat restrictive. We could just require that people put up the tag "RPG Items" (or something like it) next to their topic title. I don't know how this system works though, so I'm not sure if people posting in multiple RPs would be able to rack up a lot of points to buy items for the RPs that do participate in the system. *shrug* People could just implement their own rules as far as items go. I plan on doing so whenever I get my RP started. :]
Edit: Also, YAY THERE'S AN RP SUBFORUM NOWWWWW

I think that porn has it's place and use. For single adults, or for couples in their relationships, it can help out. However, I'm one of those ladies that pretty much doesn't watch porn and if I'm in a relationship with a guy, I expect him not to watch it either. I'm very upfront about it very early on (pretty much the first two weeks in), and tell him if he'd rather watch porn I'd rather be with someone else or alone. I know other people in relationships can watch it together and be perfectly happy. I'm just not one of them. I give him time and leniency, but if him and I are going to be a thing... Well, he has to respect that part of me. Even saying it now seems unreasonable and childish, but I can't help how I feel. There's some give and take in every relationship. I just wish I was mature enough to not be hurt by my boyfriend watching porn. But it hurts my feelings and my self esteem.
For me, I just don't find an interest in it. I'd rather spend my time on other things. There's probably at least a couple million other things I'd rather do than sit down to watch some porn. I don't think it's bad, but I do think it places unrealistic expectations on both men and women and how they can/should act during sex. I know that reasonable adults can separate porn from reality, but I think on a whole (considering the masses are generally braindead) most people consider what the pornstars do obtainable fantasies that they can try to impose on their significant other.

The only anime I'll ever personally label as a "masterpiece" (as of right now, might change in the future) is Monster by Naoki Urasawa. It doesn't necessarily mean I enjoyed it the most, there are definitely more enjoyable things. It's like comparing Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, etc. etc. to current day musicians. You know the aforementioned produced masterpieces, but you'd probably enjoy listening to your favorite "current day" band more. Or you could be like me and youtube classical music and put it on repeat... yup...
Most enjoyment from an anime probably came from Hunter x Hunter. I don't remember a single instance in the show where I was like "Wow this is super boring, when will the fun happen?" It was really well paced throughout, had extremely likable characters, and they ACTUALLY HAD CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR ACTIONS. REAL. GRITTY. CONSEQUENCES. MMMMMMMMMMMM. TASTY. DELICIOUS. UGH. YES. YESSSSSSSSS. Sorry, it's a pique of mine. I hate when characters get away with everything scott-free. Another scintillating anime for consequences being delivered is Full Metal Alchemist (Brotherhood or the "original" FMA). It appeases me so.
Best romance was, in my opinion, from Fruits Basket, My Little Monster, or Nana. They're messy and complicated, but deliciously beautiful in the way that love is. To be fair, Fruits Basket doesn't get terribly deep in the anime but the manga goes pretty far and it's so. Freaking. Heartbreaking. My Little Monster and Nana edge along the darker sides of love. Jealousy, possessiveness, cheating, lying. Nana is a bit more on the mature side, however. I think it's technically in the "josei" category of anime/manga (instead of shoujo). Josei are specifically geared towards older teen and adult women.
Most entertaining anime, as far as laughs and quirkiness go, are Arakawa Under The Bridge and Nichijou. I freaking love these shows with such a passion. They're amazing to watch. Nichijou is pure hilarity, but Arakawa tugged on my heartstrings as well as being quirky and hilarious. I can't recommend them enough if you want to smile and get some laughs out.
For creepy and fucked up factor, I turn to Madoka Magica. It plays on a whole slew of tropes and just freaking messes your feelings up. To be fair, I don't delve into the "creepy" or "gory" or "just plain fucked up" categories very often. There are probably more intense shows out there. But this one definitely takes the cake out of the shows I've watched (although, Monster is also fucked up).
My FAVORITE anime, however, is probably One Piece. That shit is my jam. I know it has faults. I know it, I see them, I don't care. I love One Piece. ONE PIECE FOREVARRRRRRRRRRR.

Welp, considering the timing of my first topic on here and actually seeing this topic, I feel obliged to link my tumblr up. xD I saved it for a story of mine called Sole Wish. I'm sure I burned a lot of people's biscuits by doing that... (there's actually a company called sole wish haha)
I barely use it and just reblog people's fun pictures whenever the mood hits me.

Alright, so I haven't been around for awhile (struggling with a lot of tragedy IRL. Not a fun happy place to be ;^; ) but I wanted to get this out there and spoken about. I'm sorry if it seems inappropriate or if it's in the wrong place.
Lately on several places, but mostly tumblr, people (mostly feminists) have been ranting and raving about the way certain characters are portrayed in fanart. Basically, the TLDR version is that a bunch of extremely sensitive people get upset when characters that are fat, queer, or any minority are portrayed as white, thin, or straight. Basically, if you do this sort of stuff you are the most awful person to exist and should feel ashamed for taking away the representation of a minority (since when are fat people a minority...?)
However, it is okay to take white, thin, and straight characters and portray them as a different race entirely, and make them as gay as you'd like, and as fat as you'd like. If you have an issue with that ... well, you better just suck it up, because doing these things is okay and empowering to minorities. Whenever I link to the tumblr, it tends to display the entire freaking post right here on the forum, so I'm going to link to a web archive of it for ease of use. https://archive.is/sskPe
(Please note, this isn't the only tumblr stating this. There are several examples if you'd like more)
It bothers me a lot as an artist to be told that I can or cannot do certain things with my art. Obviously there are some boundaries I wont cross, but why is making a fat character thin such a huge issue? Why is my favorite black character not allowed to be even slightly "white-washed" without a titanic backlash? Recently there was a girl, Zamii070, who tried to commit suicide after being harassed and threatened with physical violence and rape nonstop just because she dared to draw characters from Steven Universe a bit thinner, or one of the black characters with straight hair.
What do you guys think about all of this? Are the reactions of these fandoms justified? Are they being taken to the extreme? Should all of this really be the way it is?

I think there are actually online things we can use to battle each other. Let me get myself mentally prepared and find it. Otherwise, I have A LOT of work to do in my Alpha Sapphire version of Pokemon to get a team ready haha! XD
(also, roleplaying Pokemon is like my jam so yeah. If we RP Pokemons I'm totes in)
Also, for right now my first pokemon is Mawile.
