Which ones did you like back then that you don't like as much now?

Another thread about Star Fox 64!
What do you think about this guy's analysis of Star Fox 64? The way the game gives you choices just through how well you do. It gives incentive to do better and see more of the game.
I miss this type of design, instead AAA companies seem to rely on DLC to give the player new paths or levels.

You want the best Mario RPG game out there? Play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for the Gamecube. It's amazing! ;w;
Yeah I actually meant that instead of the N64 one. I wanna try TYD before I die.

I honestly have no idea. I guess it's just not my type of Mario RPG game. I prefer the Paper Mario series over any other, but the Mario and Luigi series is amazing as well. And when Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam was announced at E3 this year, I shit myself. Anyways, like I said, it's just not what I'd imagine to be a Mario RPG game. My main con of the game is the characters. I dunno why, but I DESPISE the characters in the game. Even the enemies and bosses. I just plain don't like them.
The only Paper Mario game I've played is Sticker Star on the 3DS, and I enjoyed that. A lot of people hated that one. I need to play the N64 one and the Wii one.
The main con about the RPG games for me is that they can get a little tedious in their battling system. I'm not much for handheld playing anyway, so maybe it'll change when I finally play some console Mario RPGs.

I really didn't like it. It was way too easy to fall off of it to your death. The specific stars weren't very fun to get. But I think the worst part is how hard it was to move around the environment. Everything was such a hassle.
I'm gonna have to replay it to see exactly what you mean, it's been a while.

OoT Link. Which isn't my favourite Link. Skyward Sword is my favourite.

Stupid fires. Fortunately I've never had to deal with that amount of loss. However I can imagine how horrible it must be.
You'll find a new SNES and Alttp in no time though.

I never had any real nicknames in school. Just the names the mean kids called me.

Interesting. We don't do anything like that in the U.S., which is a shame. We're such a large / diverse country, it'd be neat to have a public holiday celebrating local culture. Unfortunately we're also work-obsessed.
We're retail obsessed here and sports.

Excuse me? Too late? HOW DARE YOO. I'm almost 15, 10 PM is like nothing to me. DX
I was in bed by 7 at that age. #old

So midnight for me is 3am for Inhaling, and 5pm (the next day) for you guys.
If we bump that back to 7pm for me, that's 10pm for Inhaling, and 1pm (the next day) for you guys. That seems doable, right?
By the way, what city do you and Kaynil live in?
Brisbane. Which doesn't adhere to Daylight savings. If you guys have that.

Yeah, it's a bummer for everyone involved. Most of all for him, but certainly for the 6~8 employees who found a new job only to lose it less than a week later. But like I said in another thread, I've got a lead on another pretty good job. I'm hopeful that I can pull things together quickly. =D
Hopefully man.
6 freakin' days, gotta be a record.

The PAL version had something like 9 optional bosses. Evil versions of all of the summoned monsters. It also had the "Expert" sphere grid, which allowed you to level up your characters in totally different ways. I think there were also some rebalancing / bug fixes that made the game work a whole lot better.
I'm sure all that stuff has been included in a re-release at some point. Probably on the PS3 or something. But back in the day it was a huge bummer. Though, granted, I realize that the NTSC game only gets the shaft 1% of the time. The other 99%, it's the PAL version that gets weird downgrades / unnecessary delays.
Eh... hardly seems worth it to me.

Tiny-Huge Island comes a close second.
Haha that level was madness. In a good way, except the tiny parts.

I have no idea how it'd work online but... sounds okay, I think

And it has always annoyed me that the PAL version of FFX had so many features that the North American release didn't have. What features?
I guess that's an advantage, but it only happens rarely. Mostly the NTSC versions get more than us.
I love the PAL version of Metroid Prime though, with the added voice overs.

Fucking region-locking, man. That sucks.
It's always been a thorn in my side.
