The basement in Mario's castle gave me the creeps as a kid. Not even the part with the Boos in it, just the regular basement.

I kept thinking something was gonna come out from behind me.

Are you talking about the part with Lethal Lava Land in it? If so, yeah not so much it gave me the creeps, but it was annoying. Hazy Maze Cave was my least favourite world.

Most of the good times were single player for me. Exploring Hyrule in OoT was just plain new and exciting. I remember my imagination went wild with what could be behind the tree/walls in Kokiri Forest and Lost Woods. Even though there probably was nothing.

Or finding the secret holes in the ground by bombing or playing the song of storms. It just got me going when something new was discovered.

Only 10 years older than me, he was old enough that to me he was a grown up, but young enough that he was interested in cool things like computers and video games.

That's like my Dad's youngest brother. I used to love playing Mario Kart 64 with him, although those occasions were rare.

Also I remember my brother had this friend that would come over now and then and we'd play from morning to late night Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Mario Party 2 & 3, Smash Bros. It was so exciting when he came over. My brother and I hardly played multiplayer, so it was nice having more than two players.

I drink a lot of water already, which may explain my general lack of hangovers.

One of the times I got drunkest, actually, was when my siblings came to visit me for a weekend. I make a pretty good chili, so we went to the grocery store to buy some ingredients, and load up on booze. I made the unfortunate mistake of choosing to start drinking before I started cooking. It apparently took me over two hours to open all the cans of beans. When I asked them later why no one had offered to help me, they reminded me that they had offered. But I kept assuring them that I could handle it myself.

Hahaha that's so funny. I'm hungry now

You're the youngest person on the forum, and literally half of my age. stfu

Shadows of the Empire had an incredibly complex code. Essentially you had to hold down almost every button on the controller at once, then you had to move the control stick left and right extremely gently, something like 5 times. It was impossible to do with only two hands, so I held down most of the buttons with rubber bands.

Once you did get the code input, though, it unlocked a whole debug mode where you could change all sorts of neat stuff about the game.

The things you do as a kid.

Man I feel like playing that game now.

I remember playing "Goldeneye" with my brother... in real life. He'd basically be the bad guys, or the guards I guess, in the backyard. I'd be Bond sneaking around with a cap gun and shooting him... We loved that game.

That sucks man; but, QFT. You couldn't have said it any better. I've always enjoyed writing in my aspects and avenues. It's always been an emotional outlet that I couldn't use words verbally to express. I plan to eventually finish my novel, when I'm not continuously being sidetracked or distracted. I swear our attention spans with all of this technology is horrible. I can be focusing on one thing for like 5-10 seconds and then something 'interesting' happens and boom, train of thought gets derailed and I'm left a splutterin'.

I'm like that with some projects. Sometimes I have to force myself to focus on one thing at a time.

they really do care about their employees

Define... care? I don't agree haha, though I definitely know it could be worse.

Cheap rum was one of the first hard liquors I tried. I fuckin' hated it. It was awhile before I tried a hard liquor again, and discovered that I really enjoy a good whiskey. It's a good way to get silly fast. Beer is pleasant to drink, but at most I get a very light buzz from it. Wine is nice because it's cheap (I've been able to find $3-$5 bottles of Cabernet), pleasant to drink, pairs well with food, and gets me plenty silly.

I've only been drinking for a little more than a year. I don't know why I haven't really gotten hangovers yet. Nothing more than a mild headache anyway.

Best thing I've found to avoid a bad morning after is, before going to bed, have 3 - 4 glasses of water.

I actually looked up some footage of it on Youtube, it does look surprisingly playable. I'mma try and get my hands on it.

Also, I realized it's probably what they're playing in this video:

    Yeah that's Emporer's tomb.

I really want to find the PS3 version of Staff of Kings. Stupid motion controls on the wii.

    Hahahahahahhaa!

    I love drinking with friends...

One time I got very drunk and started accusing one of my mates of being a reaper from Mass Effect and claiming he was indoctrinating everyone. I was convinced.

So strange. Sometimes I wonder why my friends still invite me.

My drink of choice is rum or beer. I don't usually get drunk as now I'm older the hangovers hit me. I get close to drunk though.

I got that job, by the by. I'm pretty sure I've said as much elsewhere at this point, but given that this thread ended on Kaynil wishing me luck, it seems only appropriate that I add an update.

I got the job. I did some training yesterday, and I work my first real shift tomorrow. It's a small arcade. My actual job won't be anything too exciting, but the atmosphere is laid back with some opportunity for growth. Here's hoping it's enough to help smooth out some of my financial difficulties.

Nicely done sir. What are you actually doing at the arcade?

Not enough attention is being payed to the sick burn I just layed down.

I actually managed to mock you with a video that you made yourself. It was fucking glorious.

Haha, honestly I just didn't understand why you put the video here. Please explain the burn... so I may be burned. I'm a little slow.
