Possible New Plotpoint!!!

  • Has anyone noticed that in the new video footage and the demonstrations at E3 that Links cries sound alot more grown up and barklike than the other footage? Ok now check out this new artwork. http://media.revolution.ign.com/media/748/748589/img_3583069.html
Ok so now that youve seen that doesn't Link look kinda crazy/mean. My speculation is that as Link goes into the twilight realm more and more, he starts kind of adopting wolf traits in a way. It's kinda hard to explain but in short, I think that the more Link goes into the twilight realm he starts acting and looking more wolflike, so in a way it seems that the twilight realm starts corrupting link. This could be an important plotpoint in the game that could help unravel the storyline, or the crazy ramblings of someone who need this game to come out now!!! :dizzy

I would enjoy to hear what you guys think!

Link will not always win, this terrible fact we must face. Eventually he will fail, I believe this moment will come in Twilight Princess.

  • i didnt listen to the cries that sounds barklike, but i believe that the artwork is just for the wii version, and they didnt want to make it the exact same game, so they changed around the graphics slightly, but thats just my opinion.

Forget pieces, I'm the holder of the whole friggen Triforce.

HACKERS CAN YURN YOUR COMPUTER INTO A BOMB!!!

  • I don't think the artwork is for the WII version, because Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma said everything would be the same except the controls. Even if they did change the graphics they would still only make Link look better not scarier.

Link will not always win, this terrible fact we must face. Eventually he will fail, I believe this moment will come in Twilight Princess.

  • Yeah. They said in a recent interview that there wouldn't be any difference besides the controls. I think the only other difference would be that fairy we saw, which will act as a pin-pointer for the Wii-mote.

  • I think you're onto something here...

The beginning of Wind Waker explains that sometime after the events seen in Ocarina of Time, Ganon returns. As his evil begins to spread across Hyrule the people await the Hero of Time's return to save them all...but he never does. That is why the Gods flood Hyrule- to stop Ganon spreading evil indefinitely.

I believe that Twilight Princess is going to tell the story of a Link that failed to save Hyrule. How that happens is anyone's guess- whether he gets trapped in the Twilight Realm somehow, or Midna turns out to be Ganon and Link foolishly escorts him out of the Twilight on his back. However it happens I believe Twilight Princess will end with the Great Flood that leads to the events in Wind Waker. Afterall, we know that many Links have appeared to save Hyrule...but there HAS to be a Link that appears, but fails, to save Hyrule. This may be that tale.

We'll see...TP has been explained as a "dark" Zelda...with more "adult oriented" content. I'm guessing no happy ending with this one.

  • I was talking with another guy about this. He imagines it this way:

Link and Zelda go into the final battle with Ganon with and understood agreement. If Link should fail, she will implore the gods to save Hyrule.

Battle Scene: Link and Ganon are locked in mortal combat. It's raining heavily, almost blindingly. The location, atop Ganon's Tower. In the end, Link and Ganon slip to the edge of the tower and fall. Link to his doom. Ganon, however, manages to catch himself. He begins to pull himself up. Zelda, seeing Link is defeated, prays to the gods. The rain increases do a downpour of magnificent proportions.

Now we know that the legend in WW says the hero never appears. But it is a legend. And as we all know, as legends are passed down through the generations, they change and details are muddled. Maybe...the hero doesn't appear, but fails.

  • That's a good scenario too. Bottom line- I feel like this game WILL indeed end with the Great Flood...

Perhaps the final battle takes place in the twilight realm so that to the Hyrulians it does appear that no hero showed up...

Something different has to happen because Aonuma says that they are "planning more than we would ever, ever, expect" with Ganon. I certainly feel like Ganon 'winning' or surviving over Link is something we wouldn't expect...

Its going to be such an amazing game though. More temples than ever which means more weapons than ever. Spells with Midna, a beautiful Hyrule to explore. Fishing, many different kinds of fish, and different environments to fish in. Possible bug catching, wolf Link and the mysterious (and creepy looking) twilight realm, an interesting story, animals that you need to interact with that only appear during certain times of day, or during different seasons...there's just so much to look forward to.

Its going to be complex and fun as all hell. I'm so psyched (if you couldn't tell).
