What anime has comedy that ruins the story?

I don't think there are too many anime like that.

I can only think of Shaman king but the puns aren't too bad. What about you guys! Do you have any anime in your mind? If so, do share it here

I feel like I've experienced that before, but I am not sure I can name an anime in specific that was guilty of this. I just feel like there was an annoying character joking while very serious situations were going on that would detract from them and their jokes weren't funny.
