Happy Global Forum Day

  • This is an initiative of a different community than us, but one that I wanted us to partake into. Hopefully every year. It is a day of celebration!

This is pretty much a day to reflect on the different communities than have shaped us. All the friendships we've gained through them and the significance of online communities even today.

I know a lot of us members have been in communities for many decades. Some are here and some have left us.

Just on Zelda communities I have had the pleasure and the sadness of being part of many different communities and see some of them flourish and then leave. In general, because of newer technologies and the change of priorities as we grow older with our own families and things to attend, most communities ahve been sufferinga huge hit in activity and perhaps it will not be what we remember but it doesn't change that those moments existed and those bonds grew. It doesn't change that there are still people that find a home in online communities and still visit this and other forums to get their fill.

Heck, Kyde has seen me growth since the early days of the community and the first merges. The way my English and priorities have moved. Some of you know me from decades. Some of you were my high school friends. It is amazing to me how online communities had a positive impact in my life. I am sure y'all know this, I met Sardonic Pickleon an online forum. It was a forum we both joined on the same night and hit it off from the forum games. How could I have predicted that I would be today making this thread (with more than double of the age I had back then) being married for over a decade and living in the other side of the world? but here we are.

TSR, do I need to say more? How many of us got together back in those days? How different our opinions and priorities were? hahah.
    ToH cannot go without mention.

I am always going to treasure those days.

And with Zelda cavern, I also had no idea that I was going to circle back here but they sure put up with me back then. I know a lot of the staff from then is gone but there area few that still come from time to time and just being able to see how much Zelda Cavern has withstand and constantly changed and how much I have changed too from my first posts. This is all pretty emotional to me. So I'll keep coming back here and a few other communities that will always be my home.

So come and gather, and let's talk about the communities that marked us. Let's bring those funny tales. As blurry as my memory is getting, let's reminisce of the members that made those communities what they were, and I quote "Linkers always comes back".
