There are many books.
I really would love to read a lot of Detective story books but I don't have any time at all.

Claraviolet Is "Detective Story" a series, or do you just want to read some mysteries?

It's a genre.
I don't usually go out of my way to read only one series.
I bought Red Dragon (by Thomas Harris) and I was really excited to read it. It has been almost a year and I still haven't read it but I'm still excited to read it.

I read Red Dragon earlier this year, actually! I enjoyed it.
The character motivations seemed to float a little awkwardly for my taste, particularly with the protagonists family. The central mystery was well constructed and interestingly delivered, though. I found myself really caring about the bad guy, even rooting for him a little bit.

Have you read any of the sequels?
Savvy~ I read Silence of the Lambs first. I went into it not expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. I figured I'd give Red Dragon a chance as well, and it was also entertaining.
I haven't read any of the later books, and do not plan on it. I know enough spoilers about them to know I'd rather not read the stories. Not my vibe.
