I found this so amusing I had to share it. There's this twitch user, MonotoneTim who used a software to take the inputs of the notes he played in a real Ocarina and turned them into button inputs for the game. A real Ocarina, not a synthetic one. He even has an unlisted video to prove it and explain a bit how did that work.
It is interesting how things we take for granted become complicated with the Ocarina, for example to input two commands at the same time, like when you're pushing a block which is holding A and moving forward at the same time.
If that video is just scaringly long, he left a 3 minute fragment when he's batting against Dodongo.
