Icons & Idols

Have any of you here read these books by Margaret Stohl?

I bought Idols on Ebay last week and I just got it in the mail today. I'm on chapter 6 but it doesn't seem like it's going to be any good.

If you've read these, do they get better or should I just stop reading the first one and not even bother buying the second one?

I've never heard of them so I wouldn't be able to tell you. From I could check online in a quick search, rumours are of a third book coming out so chances are, the book you are reading won't wrap things up in a nice ending yet.
So from my understanding icons is the first and Idols the second, with the former being more action packed and the latter a bit more of a slow ride.

The synopsis seems interesting with the Aliens and stuff.
Have you read that first book? How did you like it?
What made you decide to start this series? :D
