The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a game that marked a generation. It is probably my favourite game, not the best Zelda game, simply the first one I had and thus the one that marked me like no other.
Anyway, with the 3DS came the promise of the remake. Then the game came along. I want to know what did you think of it compared to the original. Do you like it better or worse?

I have own both. Back in mexico I bought from a neighbour his SNES.
Now that I moved to Australia and my friend and I are re-making our gaming collection we got a SNES and boy, is it a weird sensation holding the cartridges, seeing the console and feeling that it doesn't align with my memories, hahah.
I like the colourful buttons of the PAL controller.

For many old-school Zelda fans, A Link to the Past is not only a pillar for modern Zelda games, it is actually one of the most balanced ones out there. It is a game well liked that many were fortunate to have in their SNES. There was also a Gameboy Advance port with some slight changes.
So, any funny or fond memories to share related to this game?
It doesn't matter if you still have them or they are old memories.

I want to know what NES games have left a positive mark for you. What games are you fond of from the NES. I actually welcome you share with us some memories and even how different you might perceive these games now from back when they were originally released.
What are, or were, your favourite NES games?
When I was a kid with my NES I didn't even knew of the existence of this game. By the time I found out the best way to legally obtain it was Nintendo's Virtual console download or finding second hand Gameboy Advance cartridge.
Even though now I have obtained them both, an original cartridge and a working NES, I haven't really sit down to play it yet, but it is in my bucket list.

This game in known for being frustrating and hard, also as a NES game. Some people never played it on the original cartridge and have only used Virtual consoles to emulate it. I think many have tried it, even briefly but I wonder, have you ever finished this title?
If you have conquered it, what was the hardest parts of the game for you? What do you think of the game overall?
If not, how far did you get? Are you planning to return someday to play and finish it?
I have heard all kind of comments on Adventure of Link, but in general this game is infamous. Its reputation usually leans on the "weird" or negative side of the fence, because it seems different from the games before and after it.
It is easy to forget that at the time only the original NES Zelda game had been out so there was not an established pattern yet. Also Adventure of Link added new ingredients to the formula that have been kept in most of the games that came after it, for instance the Triforce of Courage, the use of magic, NPC with more significance to the plot and of course the first apparition of Dark Link.
For some people the game is alright for its time but it is its Zelda label what makes it harder to shine among its more charming games from this saga.
What is your take about Adventure of Link?
I love hearing other people stories about how they got in contact with the Zelda games. Some people didn't think much of their first contact while others got pretty hooked from it.

I remember my frustration with them
heck, I always had somenthing like a GB Color game to play with while it loaded, just to click a link and play again till it loaded the page and... you get my point.
Usually I was frustrated because we had specially crappy ones, they were of little help in emergency, heck, for offline works, it was dangerous, you never could guess when word would close on you,when your floppy disk would not be read anymore, and why floppies? because they were lazy to upgrade good ones that could be able to recognize USB, and the user usually don't have the whole frigging day to hope a 2 or 3 hours plugin will sucessfully download to the pc, so since must of teh time we were in a hurry , floppy was the way to go...
whatever, slow computers plus slow modems... xD

Well, You can't blame entirely a videogame.
IMO Videogames are just like TV, Computers, and stuff, is a medium, a tool taht can have good and bad things depending on what you look for on them. So a kid playing a game not suitable for his age is a bad as seeing this same violent movie or getting into bad sites on internet, of course what he see will affect his or her behavior, as this kind of stuff marks a deep impact on them.
Must of them got labels, wheter is a site a movie or a videogame, they all have ratings. Of course taht doesn't take out the risk of kids lying their hands on such stuff, but i think here the fault doesn't go taht much on taht stuff as it goes into the careless people around the kid.
