Here are five things Link's next adventure must do to avoid fan disappointment.

Oh, don't worry I am sure fans will find something to be disappointed no matter what.

1) Come Out On Wii U. Agreed. I often hear people bought the WiiU sorely in anticipation for this game even before the WiiU picked up its pace. If they were to completely remove that option.
2) Keep Link Silent Or Quiet. LOL! "What if Nintendo were to attach a personality to Link[...]?" Erm... I think it is safe to assume Link has developed some traits specially post-OoT. I like the current balance but I don't think Nintendo is even contemplating giving him complex dialog. link is grunts, calls and one liners. I don't think this one is even worth worrying about until Nintendo hints they are actually considering to change that. Even then, we should wait for the result before condemn it.
3) Don't Lock Too Much Behind Amiibo. Eh, so long they keep it optional and doesn't give an unjust advantage, it should be fine. I don't think Zelda Wii U will be the first Nintendo game to make the amiibo essential.
4) Have A Populated Overworld. I honestly don't see the amount of NPC as a problem as much as how they are handled.
5) Use Little To No Motion Controls. That is completely subjective. At least for me I don't care if they sue it or not so long they work well.

Which of the 5 things mentioned in the article do you think is the most important one?

I think that coming out for the Wii U is the most important valid concern if only for the rising rumours. I don't think we're at risk of Nintendo forcing Amiibos or changing the personality of Link and judging by the latest demonstration of Aonuma with the gamepad, I think the motion controllers won't be around in the way they implemented it to SS.

I think there isn't much to be worried about because if they has announce a couple of times the release on Wii U... I guess it will be released on Wii U (and a dual release doesn't sound that bad)

Pretty good point. It would be really, really, bad but Nintendo has not in the sightless hinted they are even considering the dual launch. I guess all the rumours is the panicked fans with all the delays Zelda Wii U has been going through.

About amiibo I guess the action of the player with the game in physical media would be breaking the 4th wall and because of that breaking the History experience, that's something that the team would be thinking of

That's a good point. I don't think Nintendo would bring something to break the pace of the game too often and abruptly.

And the motion controls... c'mon, there's no Wii Mote supported in this game so with the gamepad how many motion control you think will be supported? I don't think they would use the gamepad like... sword :X'D: the pointing with the bow and arrows are enough and... all we can expect in that point.

I suppose that other than the gyro sensor in the gamepad so, I wouldn't expect anymore than what we already were able to do with double screen Zelda games.

Thinking a like bit may be some puzzle like the ball in the table with holes game... but then I though... this is not Wii Party U so it isn't gonna happen.

I wouldn't put it pass them. I think I recall some move the ball minigame in a Zelda game before, so they could pull some puzzle like that.

I think it is good to test, if only to know what are your options in case some other software goes sour.

From a member perspective I still like Xenforo more than IPB or Wotlab Burning boards but what the latest include sounds pretty good. At least with Xenforo, the base is more expensive and you most likely need to pay a lot extra to get the functionality of blog, gallery and resource that tWBB offer as part of their software. I don't know how it fares against IPB as I have never owned that one.

It also near enough killed my last site's community altogether...

This worries me. How did that happen? O_O

I swear anytime somebody asks me to fix their slow computer, all I have to do is end the Chrome process and voila

:X'D: I agree with this. This is the first thing I do when the computer starts being slow. It used to be each function a tab but now it seem to linger or something because even with one tab I sometimes see a lot of Chrome processes. There was a time Chrome would crash a lot, and I had to switch to the "app" mode instead of desktop, which was annoying.

I really like the switch profiles and bookmark syncronization but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get out of my comfort zone and try again Firefox. I used to love Firefox until it became bloated, and would become really troublesome to me. It used to be so fast and smooth. Then Chrome had this simple and light display which I really liked. When I tried to go back again to Firefox it looked too similar to Chrome so I thought I might as well keep Chrome. I guess as time has keep going on and the browser updated Chrome has become way less effective nowadays.

Funny thing is that I have Opera, Chrome and Firefox, because I like to test code with them and to make easier to manage different accounts by keeping myself logged.

Guides? That sounds like the stuff we need for the website.
If you guys want to create guides that we can use in the website, feel free to do so in Web Drafts.
If you don't want to make guides for the website or simply want to review games, just post the them in the proper area for discussion about said game. If it is a Zelda review and other members like it I will stick the thread.

Leaving the pending status until I make the pre-fix.
Leaving the discussion open meanwhile.

No... just... no... doesn't make sense :ninja:

But may be in a separated group like miscellaneous with other stuff... but, you can use it if you want,

This suggestion was given at at time when we had a pokemon website project and this forum would be divided between the two franchises. During taht time, the suggestion made sense but since then we have cancelled said project so it wasn't implemented.

I use different hat color Links made by myself t8k6fMr.png 8-)rhFUyk6.png sT3N2Aw.png gnKAMmB.png (that last one is my favorite colorcO2SbJ5.png).

Oh, yes, they are made to be added here sooner or later but meanwhile I use them qs5Y79M.png

There is a funny thing I want to try with your smilies and taht is, I am wondering if it is possible that they vary depending what skin you choose, so for example red skin could have red hat link, green the skin hat and so on. I'd try that in the Spanish side first. Otherwise it sounds a bit too repetitive to have the exact same smilie set five times. Anyway, you could make a thread about it if you want opinions from others and we can discuss it there. rhFUyk6.png

I can have a sensitive disposition when it comes to suffering. Creepy suspense films used to freak me out, like The Ring (American version), although if I saw something like that now I'm not sure if it would work. But ideas of suffering seem to work their way into my compulsive and overly vivid imagination. Like in Gears of War and the wife who's been locked in a torture chamber for over a decade. In real life, working in an advanced dementia nursing home got to me for the same reason. Most people just see a vegetable on a bed minding his/her own business. But not me, oh no, I'm busy imagining all the horrible experiences that they're unable to communicate. There was one lady who had a stroke and, whilst maintaining all her consciousness, lost all muscular control and became bedbound. She can't communicate other than vague vocal 'ahhs'. Over years of muscular spasms, her feet have bent themselves forward and downwards. Once, before I worked there, she broke one of the metatarsals in her foot through bad handling. It wasn't noticed until half-way through the next morning's body wash because, well, she moans all night and all day anyway.

So after working a year and a half there, The Ring can go fuck itself.

Now this is the imagery taht will haunt me tonight. I've never worked or volunteered in a place like that but I feel like I wouldn't be able to take very long. My imagination runs wild before I notice it. Just reading about this lady makes me feel bad for her. That of her foot, sounds really, really bad. :(

Well...more like the depth of the comedy. Do you find running out of toilet paper, picking nose all the time, funny?
It disgusts me. Some episodes are good but most of the episodes are just too ...stupid (_ _)

I gave opinions on different things, since you quoted my whole post, I am unable to discern of which one you're talking about. Is it about Adam Sandler or Shrek?
Or is this about the One Punch Man?

ADDED:

The CG animated one with Patrick Stewart, or the Michael Bay one?

Cuz I liked the former as well. And the latter...well. I never saw it, because I'm not a masochist.

I actually like both, but I was confessing with the later one in mind. :XD:
I don't think TMNT by Michael Bay is "amazing", but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. And speaking of confessions, I am actually interested in the second one.

Basic way to prepare white rice (told by memory)

When you cook rice and don't have the handy rice cooker just use a normal saucepan. The rule of thumb is to use double of water than what you measure of rice. I usually use half a cup of rice for 2 people. It might look like too little at first but the rice will expand as you cook it and take almost double of space as before.

Let it come to boil and then reduce heat between medium and low. It usually takes between 20-30 minutes to cook rice depending the amount and the heat used. It is recommended to cover the pan at this point.

Do not wait until all the water is evaporated, turn the stove off while it still has around 2 millimeters of water. Check the rice by eating a few grains. If it feels hard just add more water, around a quarter of a cup and return to the fire until most of the water evaporates again. If you find yourself with the water evaporating too soon while the rice is still uncooked, it means you need to lower the heat.

(*) To add flavour, you can try dissolving a chicken stock in the water from the beginning or using chicken broth instead of water.
