I did a fresh install on Friday

Other stuff that is old:
> Zone Alarm firewall, to protect from HACKERS.
>"My Connection" is the application I used for connecting to the internet via my 56k Modem.
>That folder with the blacked out text is called "Nick's Stuff," because I didn't want anyone on the Internet to learn my name. -
So I've never played Rust, and I'm not a huge machinima / Lets Play fan. But my buddy sent me these and I fuckin' love them.
The first 5 minutes is kinda slow, but it picks up quickly. By the end of episode 2 I was ravenous for more, and I really wish episode 3 was out by now.

Dumb ol' 'zilla always manages to turn Internet arguments into a kind of poetry.
I imagine that increasing automation will make things worse for awhile. Jobs will become ever more scarce, and the poor classes will become ever larger. But ultimately that's unsustainable. The poor will force a change. Eventually automation will lead to a world where--at the very least--everyone receives a minimum standard income. Some people are still needed for jobs, and still do jobs, and those people get more money than the rest of us, but the majority of the population will not need to work for their money.
Of course, without proper education and direction, a life without work will create people with lazy minds, which I really hope we can avoid. I want to see people using their newfound freedoms to enrich themselves and grow human culture, but that's far from a guarantee.
I imagine artificial intelligences will be created, we will reach the technological singularity, and the advancement of technology will outpace the human ability to understand it. But that will be okay, because the emergent intelligences will be our friends. They will help us to move forward. There may be conflicts, but I do not believe these new creatures will want to use violence to resolve conflict with us. We will just have to learn to grow together.
Expanding out from our world is necessary. We should be throwing every ounce of available resources towards that goal already, and I think over time we will start to realize that truth. We're seeing the seeds of that even now, with the energetic (if often misinformed) love of science from the millennial generation.

I was pretty excited for this game, but I gotta say I am discouraged by everything I've heard about it so far.

I find the smell just profoundly repellent. I can't understand why anyone would put coffee in their mouths.
Never have I ever paid a cellphone bill.

Well, I have seen a forum game to the end before, but it looks like neither of you are counting that one since you both participated in the breakfast game, and Kaynil would be out of the game if you guys were counting it.
I don't THINK I ever owned any Pokemon cards. I certainly never bought any, or learned how to play the game. It's possible a friend may have left some at my house at one point and it took a few months for them to get them back, but I don't think I ever owned any.
My family owned a pogo stick when I was a kid. I was really really good at it. It depresses me that adult pogo sticks are so prohibatively expensive. I think this one should probably count against me, since the Pogo stick was probably a christmas present "to the whelan kids," which would make me partial owner.
So I guess my score is at 5.
Never have I ever had a cup of coffee.

Hi DM, I'm LS. I'm probably the most disinterested Zelda fan you'll ever meet on a Zelda forum.
Nice to meet you. I hope you enjoy yourself here.

I take your point, but I think "Western" is the wrong way to think about this. The Zelda series has always been a love letter to Western fantasy tropes. From its very inception, the series has been as European as a group of Japanese people can manage to make it. =P

I haven't heard much of the Ouya once it came out. Did you own one? What is what you like about it?
I did own one. Unfortunately the whole thing was kind of a bust. They struggled to get any good games set up, and eventually ran out of money. A huge bummer all around. Which is too bad, because I did (and do) love the core philosophy of the thing, and would have loved to see it become a sort of "indie game console," but that never really came to fruition.
The experiment failed, but I liked what they tried to do.

Well, if PC doesn't count, I suppose my rank would go
1. Steam Box
2. Ouya
3. NintendoAlthough the real ranking would be:
1. PC
2. PC
3. PC
4. I don't care about anything other than PCs. -
I like creepy looking skulls.
-
Nintendo is my second favorite after myself.

I'm such a sucker for this kinda stuff.

Though great distance of life, time, and space separate us, I will always love you, 'zilla.

The transformers opening song has always sounded super anticlimactic to me. Like, melodically. The song sounds like it just cuts out halfway through.
