I've played all three of the original Sonics. They're decent, but never struck me as particularly great.

There are a lot of things live action does well. Animation, for example, will never be able to match the range of emotions a talented actor can portray. But in terms of high magic fantasy? Animation is the only way to go.

I make a big to-do about it, but I never really participated in the old console wars. Everybody I knew was a Nintendo kid. I've played a few SEGA games, but I've never found anything that seemed really very good at all.

Not saying there isn't anything. I just have no fond memories of the system to speak of.

A friend I haven't spoken to in years bought me Legend of Grimrock 2 the other day. I've been too preoccupied toget in game yet, but I'm fuckin' stoked to try it out. The original was rock fuckin solid, and hard as balls.

Live action, feature length film would be a terrible way to develop the franchise, I thonk. TLoZ is the sort of world that has to be animated to work right, because of the way magic works.

The zelda world is a world of fireballs, conjured lightning, and faries. These things can look good in animation, but they neeeeeeeever look good in live action fare. Magic in live action films needs to be more understated. Nothing flashy. But that kind of magic wouldn't feel properly zeldaish.

It occurs to me that this thread makes the little psuedo twitter feeds on oir profile pages kinda redundant.

I'm gettin fuckin' stoked this year! Last year was kind of a bummer cuz we were too broke to do much of anything, but this year Morrie and I both have jobs, so at least we'll be able to exchange some gifts anf such. Unfortunately, she's just about the most difficult person in the world to shop for, but I enjoy the challenge. I think I'm going to set up the decorations today, before she gets home from work for the weekend.

Nothing so profitable. I write erotic microfiction, which has garnered me a fairly decent following. I term myself a 'pornographer,' because I make smut. I do not consider myself a sex worker, because at no point have I myself been the 'product.'

I do know a few sex workers / porn stars. Though only in passing really. I'm not close with any of them, but I am passionate about promoting their rights and breaking down the social barriers they face.

We're here to discuss things, and most of those things will involve some kind of disagreement. You think porn is immoral. As both a pornographer and an ethicist, I strongly disagree with you. It's far from a perfect game. The opening is weak, the primary narrative lazy, and a lot of the game's systems could use a lot more polish. (*cougharmormanagementcoughbasebuilding*). But overall the game is good. Better than I thought it would be.

After a month I'm finally starting to get my head back on straight. I'm far from done with the game, but I'm past the phase where I want to spend every waking moment playing it. Ready to get back to work and such.
