Sorry, I got dependent on the notifications reaching straight away so from my phone I didn't realize until I logged back in.

How are you doing?

I was sick of my throat during the last of July and some of this month. It was pretty weird. I was functional during the day but I got very though nights.
I am fine now, and just so you don't worry. I tested negative on the Covid-19, so itw as just about resting, whenever I didn't have a shift.
Windows 10 latest update kind of blocked my main computer. I am hoping I am just being dense and it is an easy fix.

In a community that has been as long as this one, its unavoidable that there will be those times we won't have back, those are so great memories..

That being said, it is exciting to think that we can always get the ball rolling and create new memories.

I mean, kilovh is still out there, I suppose, but he is a busy boi.

Plus, whenever he is around, many of my powers are negated because he commands the inverse powers, and it's a whole thing.

Haha. Man, it'd be nice seeing some old faces like Kilovh, @'zilla and people from the past communities.

I might try to see if I can find a fresh face or two that enjoy the saga to come to our place.

I, too, would love to see Zilla around. I haven't really run into him since the last time we were both here, actually.

A lot of communities seem to have a Good-morning kind of greeting thread where they say hi and talk about their days, so maybe that's something we can do in this thread too.

So, how are you guys doing?
With what I have been doing retail, I think for now I prefer it over hospitality. Maybe I was just really burnt out with kitchen experience. Even with the once in a while cranky customer. To be fair though, I really lucked out since basically the manager is someone I've known for years and the place is small and easy to get along.

I am curious _LS_ what moved you to shorten your nick?

I wanted to make a concerted effort to hang out here more, and I figured a good first step was to get my profile all updated. I've generally preferred "LS" to the full "Linkskywalker" for a long time, since I'm not actually much of a Zelda or Star Wars fan anymore. The only problem is that most places don't let you use two-letter usernames. I don't really like the double underscore either, but being an administrator doesn't exempt me from the "only one name change every ~180 days" rule, so I'll have to wait until later to figure out a better way to spell it.

That makes sense. It is interesting how some things that growing up they feel like there's no way that it is going to change, haha.
LS is still pretty nostalgic to me. The forums today allow for spaces, so maybe adding an space between L and S might be enough? Or adding a period after each letter. :/

I woke up to go straight to work. I only got off till today.
I just fell asleep during the weekend. Too exhausted.

So you have to drive a lot for your job? Being on the road for so long sounds pretty demanding.

Kaynil I'm not on the road too terribly much. These days I make my bread as a school photographer, so every day I'm going to a completely different building spread out all across the various cities I'm contracted with. So there are days when my round trip commute is maybe 25 minutes, and there are days where my round trip commute is 3 or 4 hours. Most days are somewhere in between.

I quite like it actually. It's nice to go somewhere different every day, and it helps that I'm on the clock during travel time.

That sounds pretty neat! Glad they pay you the time it takes you to move between locations. It sounds quite interesting, do you have seasonal work as a school photographer or is it a steady income of contracts?


Workplace has been giving hours which has been great!
But I am also feeling very low in energy to the point I can sometimes fall asleep before the sun sets, which is a bad indication of my diet and overall activity.
I am trying to make more exercises and sleep my eight hours for the most part, staying past 10 pm is a rare exception, like today. I'm considering taking supplements and go see my doctor.

Darn Australian heat. Where's spring? This feels like summer already. If I step out a 6:01 am the sun is already bloody charring!
