What's your favorite music genre?

I am surprised we don't have a poll to gauge our musical taste so I thought in creating a topic to solve that.
It is grossly simplified. So for example Rap would fall into Hip-Hop.

I might the votes visible and retractable, so feel free to update it as you grow in and out of certain genres, haha.

I actually like a wide range of music, to be honest. The main ones that I like are Rap and Grime (which is a sort of UK Rap). But I'll happily listen to pop music and some of the older songs from the 80s and 90s.

I'm surprised that so far the answers seem not to lean towards any genre in particular.

My favourite genre at the moment would have to be K-pop. Been listening to a lot of BTS and the songs of each member of BTS recently and my daughter and I were able to go and see Jin from BTS in concert in August, which was amazing!

I also enjoy country, pop and some rock

I probably listen to more synth music than anything else. Mostly because it's easy, and helps quiet down parts of my brain that distract me.

Aside from that I've been listening to a good amount of vintage Japanese City Pop, some Disco (which really just means Donna Summer), and I've been dipping my toe back into some Bedroom Pop, though most of my old favorites make me sad now haha.
