A bit after 2001, the Gamecube was released. It's library contained many amazing games, and some consider it to be the best console. So that brings up the question, what is your favorite Gamecube game? My personal favorite Gamecube game is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. One of the best RPG's I've played.
What is your favorite Gamecube game?

I've recently been playing Time Splitters 2 a lot. I was hanging out with some of my kid siblings, and they reminded me how we used to play it a lot when they were younger. We spent pretty much the whole weekend playing it, and I was surprised how good it still is.

My favorite is between:
Super Smash Bros. Melee VS Pokémon XD Gales of Darkness VS Pikmin

The Wind waker, Metroid Prime and Soul Calibur II were some of my favourites, though I didn't play Metroid as much as I could have.

The Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil 1, RE4, RE0, Time Splitters 2, Metroid Prime 1 and 2.
So many more...
Damn fine console.

I loved Paper Mario : Two Thousand Year Door. However, I'm going to have to say that Harry Potter : Quidditch World Cup and Luigi's Mansion would have to be my favorites for that console. There were so many great games for the GameCube.

Wind Waker was so good. I also liked Soul Calibur II. I even liked the Star Fox game that was more like a Zelda. Oh and star wars rogue squadron (2?) was a lot of fun. And I liked super mario sunshine.

I spent many happy hours playing Tales of Symphonia; though recent attempts to play the game have revealed to me that it's actually really bad.
Eternal Darkness is eternally underrated. One of the only horror games I've ever really enjoyed, I think. Also, the first level of Sonic Adventure 2 is good.

Oh, hey, I also remember tales of symphonia! At the very least it was a very pretty game.

It was gorgeous.
Plus, the idea of a multiplayer RPG, where different party members can be controlled by different players during combat, was pretty neat. But the implementation was so fucking bad, with the camera constantly locked on to player. Player 1 had to constantly make sure they were far enough away from the enemies so that the camera would zoom out enough for player 2 to see themselves.

You had people to play it with you?! Lucky.

Yeah, I originally got excited about it because it was supposed to be a "back to basics" RPG from what I'd read. (I actually recall gushing about how excited I was in the Spira Online shoutbox. It's one of the very few games in my life that I bought brand new). Due to some futzing with save files, I never actually beat it. But, about 2 years ago, my girlfriend Morrie and I decided we should try playing some games together. So we played that.
We still never finished it though, because of the aforementioned not-goodness.
I think, actually, that my younger siblings ended up playing through the whole thing. So the purchase wasn't a total waste.

Funny how nobody mentions the Resident Evil series -.-

I only ever played the remake of Resi 1 on the GC. It didn't hold my interest, though I wouldn't mind taking another crack at it.
I am a stupidly huge fan of the movies. >=D

The movies were great! But Res was just never good for the GameCube, the Nintendo GameCube didn't have enough RAM process to even handle the amount of events and key triggers that the Res games had.

That's odd, I've only ever heard good things about the GC Resident Evil games.

Well, they are good, with cut scenes and gameplay, but if you really play for a long time, it's the only game titles I know that can possibly overheat your Nintendo Gamecube.

I want to try ToS!
Also yes, Eternal Darkness is extremely underrated and almost forgotten sadly, but not to us!

Oh, another good GC game: Twin Snakes.
I think Twin Snakes is pretty great.
The cutscenes are awful, it's true. But I find early 3D games really difficult to play. So I generally prefer Twin Snakes to the original Metal Gear Solid.
