Right now my computer is slow. Well, I don't know as of now. It's only slow when I log-in. I cleaned my computer and deleted all those useless files. (AOL 9.0 slowed down big time!)

But, I have no Virus Protection. Can you recommend a FREE Virus Protection that is compatible with Windows XP. And it has to be reliable and doesn't take up much space.

AVG Free Edition is a great anti-virus protection program. However it does not include Anti-Spyware or Firewall protection, that's in the professional edition.

    Download AVG definately.

AVG Grisoft is definatly the best one you can get, I use it all the time, it protects you from viruses in e-mails too, but that only works on Outlook and nothing else, when I get the money to do so I'm going Pro so I get more protection, a couple months ago I had a virus in my Temp Folders and if I got anywhere near or inside the folder the comp restarted on its own, however I alone managed to erase it pernamently by encrypting the whole Temp Folder then deleting it, it worked and I've not had a problem since then, I re-created the Temp folder with the exact name it had before on it, it was frustrating at the time when I could not get near the virus where it was hiding itself, I managed to get the name of it so I could tell which one it was. I got AVG Grisoft after removing it completely and safely, I've had AVG before, when I had loads of other things on it before getting it formatted.

Yeah, in my opinion AVG is nowhere what it used to be a decade ago. (°^O^°)

Haven't used an antivirus in well over a decade now. Haven't really had any difficulties. The danger of viruses seems pretty overhyped.

Haha, I don't do anything special, really. I just don't download anything that looks suspicious. Maybe I get some malware here and there, but if I do it's not the sort that has been noticeably detrimental to me.
