Hi guys, this is a thread very sentimental for me, i don't know if for all, remember old experiencies with my first console, well, we begin.
My first console was the Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 in 2006, pretty good moments. 
Mine was the Atari 2600.... Gawd. I am old. ;_;
Saying that must sound to newer generations like what people using commodore sounded to us when we were young. 
This one:

Combat.

You know the kind of games.

Atari 2600 is legendary, don't subestimate it.
Mine was the NES we had one when I was but a wee 3 year old I vaguely remember playing Star Fox with my moms boyfriend. I rememver that because that was the first day I went potty on the toilet by standing up. Gee I was thrilled.
The most relevent memory I have though is riding the bus home from Kindergarten and racing my sisters into the house first. Because the first one in the door was mario and the second person was Luigi. I always used the war portal to 4 ans another to 8 and died right away.
After my Mario binge I watched the latest episode of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
I had an NES and a Commodore 64, in that order.

I was playng PC games before that, and I have fond memories of Dark Forces and Nanotank. But I'm not sure that counts as a console. Then my big bro came to live with us (I was 8) and he got us all hyped up, buying gaming mags and watching N64 trailer videos too many times. Finally the N64 came out and Mario64 and Lylat Wars (Starfox64 to you) was our crack.
Then there was Turok 2 but I didn't have the patience to see that to the end. I'd like to give that one another go. Then we got OoT and nothing else really mattered.

It was different. Gaming consoles and computers were very different back then, and the Amiga was a merge between the two. It released in 1987 by Commodore as a kind of sequel to the Commodore 64. Its capabilities were ahead of its time – a separate GPU, stereo sound, etc. The entire computer was housed in the keyboard, which had several ports at the back for attaching anything from printers to extra floppy disk drives.
It had a large range of games, but also a lot of software. My brother programmed his own games on the machine, compiled them and copied them onto floppies. You could create music, and even render 3D.

The first console I ever had was a PS2. I actually didn't fully realize this until this thread made me think about it. Hey, I'm not complaining, though. That thing was fun!

There's a divide between my first consoles and anything older because the N64 was one of the first all-3D consoles. Even many of the PC games I played before it were 3D for the most part, except your old-school RTS games, and Pharaoh and Civilisation. But generally, there's this 2D is retro, 3D is from my era sort of thing. I struggle to picture what it was like to get all hyped up about the older 2D games because I can't imagine immersing in them the same as a 3D game. And I'm nearly 30 now, if that makes you feel any better 
My first portable console was the Game Boy Pocket. Kind of miss it. Mario Land and Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Pokémon Red and Blue eyc.
First was the NES, but my brother mostly played it.
The first console that got me hooked to gaming was the N64, just masterpiece after masterpiece.
Oh I played the hell out of my SNES with A Link to the Past. I would dust that off yearly and replay it.
I never grew up with the SNES, I've played some of the the big games, but yeah the SNES is a new experience for me mostly.
I love the SNES. My SNES and Lttp got burned up in a friends house fire and I had to replace them 😥
