What is your favorite Gamecube game?

Oh, another good GC game: Twin Snakes.
I think Twin Snakes is pretty great.
The cutscenes are awful, it's true. But I find early 3D games really difficult to play. So I generally prefer Twin Snakes to the original Metal Gear Solid.
Too bad it's so expensive now. I wish I played that. -

It doesn't seem that expensive. ~$40? It's certainly not as cheap as most used games, but it's not as expensive as a new game.
Now, Chrono Trigger...

In the stores here: $150 AUD which i have no idea what that is in USD. Maybe the PAL version is rarer. -

Fucking region-locking, man. That sucks.

It's always been a thorn in my side.

I don't know if they have a good reason for it, but it certainly doesn't seem like they do. I imagine it's just they're way of preventing a company in the US from selling games direct to the UK/Australia, and bypassing the official distribution channels. Artificially holding you guys back just so someone whose already rich can get a lot richer.
And it has always annoyed me that the PAL version of FFX had so many features that the North American release didn't have.

I guess that's an advantage, but it only happens rarely. Mostly the NTSC versions get more than us.
I love the PAL version of Metroid Prime though, with the added voice overs.

The PAL version had something like 9 optional bosses. Evil versions of all of the summoned monsters. It also had the "Expert" sphere grid, which allowed you to level up your characters in totally different ways. I think there were also some rebalancing / bug fixes that made the game work a whole lot better.
I'm sure all that stuff has been included in a re-release at some point. Probably on the PS3 or something. But back in the day it was a huge bummer. Though, granted, I realize that the NTSC game only gets the shaft 1% of the time. The other 99%, it's the PAL version that gets weird downgrades / unnecessary delays.

Eh... hardly seems worth it to me.

I dunno. I was really into that game. I very much wanted to give the expert sphere grid a try.

To nk one surprise I got SC2 for GC just because of Link. At tje time I had no idea how it was going to work and I was afraid they would make Link talk or give him an out of place personality.
I was pleased with the game. I went for the third game when it came out for the PS3.
There were cool characters and movements. Discovering Siegfried shared the same Kapanese dub was great as at thr time tjere was the whole "how does Link talking sounds like" from Ocarina.

I also have a copy of Soul Caliber 2, but for the PS2. Several of my friends got mad at me for not getting the GC version for Link.
I'm also really bad at fighting games.

Hahaha. The game was good in either console. I think your version had Heihachi from Tekken. I forgot who was the XBox exclusive.

You and me both.

I was into SCII for a while, until the Link gimmick got old [emoji14]

I started playing Tony Hawk 3 on the Gamecube the other day. First time I've played a Tony Hawk game since the original.
It's really fun. I feel like the Tony Hawk games created an entirely new genre of gameplay. The same way Minecraft created a new genre. Unfortunately, the genre Tony Hawk created pretty much died with the Tony Hawk series.
Sonic games could actually learn a lot from the TH franchise, I think.

Custom Robo best freaking game ever that was literally like one of the only games I had for three years but due to certain financial stuff I had to sell it, I could play that game for the rest of my life and be happy.

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life.
It's my fav game 'cause it's a simulation game, I loved simulation games, mostly farming games, I found the Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town and where it all began for some more fun! There are other games. But most fav is HM: AWL.
