Which RTS games do you play?

My standby is Age Of Empires 2. I still keep the HD version installed on Steam, and play it a few times a year. There's a really phenomenal fan expansion for it called "The Forgotten."

I play some Warcraft 3, Starcraft 1, and Rise of Nations as well. I own Planetary Annihilation, but haven't really dug into it yet.

For all of the above, I really kinda suck =P

I'm a big fan of RTS games. My favorites at the moment are Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3. I miss the old RTS games, such as the Stronghold series and the original Starcraft.

Used to play command and conquer a lot, just the original series, none of this red alert business. Also that Lord of the Rings one.

Never really been huge on them, but I'm interested if they're good.

    Brothers in Arms is good.

I'm a final fantasy tactics and age of empires kind of person. Though warhammer games are always a riot. I also have a star wars RTS game for the PC I forget the title though. IT's actually my favorite along with FFT and W40K but you can't possibly go wrong with a few rounds of AoE

I love that we're starting to see a real revival of Age of Empires 2 in recent years. The fan community, of course, has always been phenomenal. But in recent times we've actually seen not one, but TWO new expansions get official releases. That's insane!

It makes me hopeful that we might see an Age of Empires 4. But like, one that would be more like Age of Empires 2-2. Not Age of Empires 3-2.

I have never really been involved with any RTS by itself the genre doesn't hold my attention. I guess I just think I wouldn't be very good at it.
However I have at least some curiosity in some of the titles out there , so probably is just a matter of time to give it a go.

I'm pretty sure you can play AoE on your PC online still if I'm correct and I personally think RTS games are way more fun with friends or at the least other human competition. I have a copy of AoE and if I can copy it and get it to work and the online mode functions right we could all go for a round of that but it's pretty late here so I'll look into that either later or in the morning.

Thanks, guys. To be honest i find intimidating playing against others when I don't even have a clue on what am I really getting into without trying the game on my own. I will check around specifically for AoE one or two. Maybe, I'll be able to find the original AoEII very cheaply now that the HD edition was released not that long ago.

Never had the chance to play online RTSs. Sounds like fun. Heck, able to touch any games these days.

Used to play a lot of KKnD2: Krossfire (anyone remember THAT?)
Other than that, I just dabbled at other people's houses (a bit of Shogun or Roman Total War here, a bit of AoE there). Populus the Beginning on PS1 was fun, but my disc was shot. And there's a couple of cool obscure PC ones from late 90s/early 00s that I just can't remember the name of.

You mean KKnD? I played that one way back! The original website is still up.

I also clocked many hours playing Warzone 2100, another great post-apocalyptic RTS.

Besides this, there was Red Alert 2, Warcraft II, AoE2 and Dungeon Keeper 2.

Before all that, though, it was Cannon Fodder in the early 90s. I always sucked at it, because age.
