Mario Odyssey

Back to the start of the year, we had two Nintedo big IPs coming out this year to the Switch many of us got crazy about: :Loz:: :BotW: and Mario Odyssey.

For some reason that eludes me we haven't even talked ab9ut the later at all here. Let's fix that!

For starters, I love the music trailer and theme song they are using to push the game.

I think It's a little overhyped, but maybe I'm wrong. The Mario series has been dead for awhile now.
I've heard odyssey is the new Mario galaxy, and that game was a MASTERPIECE

I still do prefer Galaxy over Odyssey. Odyssey is great, one of the best platformers and Marios, but Galaxy was just a little more enjoyable. So far, I haven't beat Odyssey, but I'm close to finishing the story and I will be going back to find all the moons over time.

I'm always afraid when I say it's over hyped, people think it's bad. It's amazing, and if you haven't tried it, play it. Get a Switch just to play this and Breath of the Wild.

I got to play a demo version of this game for a few minutes one day at a Best Buy. I liked what I saw and I hope to get this game, once I get a Switch.

I'm also considering getting the guide to go with this game.

Eh. I haven't been big into Mario Brothers since Super Mario Brothers 1 & 3 on the NES and Super Mario World on the SNES. Call me crazy....

Fair enough. I only touched Mario 64 like a year or two ago because of the fond memories many expressed right in this community so I believe you, hahaha.

I got this for Christmas!!! Actually, I got this game bundled with the Switch but still....

I am enjoying it so far. My hubby even got the guide for me so there is no fear of getting stuck at any point in the game.

Im still leary about new Super Mario games. Odyssey was worth it?

Does the guide not ruin the experience of playing somewhat? I've never used a game guide, so I'm just wondering if that ruins the adventure for people.

I might have looked something up online for a game if I was stuck for a ridiculous amount of time on some part of a game to the point that it was becoming unenjoyable. Usually, I try to figure it out on my own because I love the challenge. :D

Best Mario game since 64 as far as I'm concerned.

I beat the game awhile ago, and I'm going back to get more of the moons now. Though I'm a little annoyed with the way the shops work after you finish the story, where it lets you buy moons that are out in the world, but doesn't tell you it's doing that.

Definitely the most refreshing Mario title since Galaxy 1 & 2. Makes me really enjoy the platformer genre again.
