I have been a follower of a game coming out this fall for the Wii -- Godzilla: Unleashed.
What does IGN have to do with this? Simple: They supply monster bios for us Godzilla fans, and it keeps us quiet for three weeks till we get some more.
But, as you can probably guess, we haven't gotten those PROMISED updates.
Here's a little something I sent to them in my spare time:
QuoteDisplay MoreHello.
I have been a frequent goer of this site, mainly due to a game coming out this fall... Godzilla: Unleashed. I'm not sure if you guys have noticed, but a large amount of us loyal fans have been waiting FAR past the profile's deadline for an update.
We were first given every week, an update. Did it happen? No, but it was changed to three weeks instead. Sure, we could handle that.
Now we have this. What is it, six weeks since the last update? And, from what I hear, you were given the necessary materials -- the monster bios -- to accomplish said updates. We were give a promise that it WOULD happen before the weekend arrived. And did it? No... No.I'm not sure whether you are taking us "Gozira" fans lightly or not, because frankly you don't care for the future of this game, nor the fans who have VERY PATIENTLY been awaiting YOUR promised updates on the matter.
I don't like to sound as if I'm being impatient, or a mindless fan of the Godzilla series... but when promises are broken (by a professional site, no less!), that's crossing the line. You have plenty of other games to be covered, I understand that. But it was your responsibility to keep up with THIS game as well. Think, if you would, if other games similar to this one were left unattended... Yes. Just think of that for a moment. The overall result would be the same. Someone, like me, would be emailing to you about how you apparently overlooked their game.
All we Godzilla fans want are answers as to why Godzilla: Unleashed has been left alone, and promised updates. Had we been given some straight-up reports about why there was a delay, sure, we could live with it. But now, I fear it may be a tad late for that...
Fail to meet a deadline, expect consequences.
I thank you for your time.
Joshua
I'm not normally one for ranting... but when something I enjoy has been seemingly overlooked, I WILL speak up on the matter.
It's sad, really. For the record, they were given the monster bio information at the beginning of THIS WEEK, and some Atari guys came in and PROMISED that there would be an update from IGN THAT SAME WEEK.
Sad. Very sad.
