When I say "Link" which one comes to your mind first?

We know there are many incarnations of Link, but no matter what when you hear his name, your brain must pick one of them as the default. Which one is yours and why do you think your brain picks him first?

I really prefer the Links of LttP and LoZ to any others. But, the first one that comes to my mind is probably adult OoT Link.

Definitely Adult Link from Ocarina of Time. Ocarina of Time is the first Zelda game I ever played and is probably why Adult Link comes to my mind first. A close second would probably be Link from A Link Between Worlds.

Hahahah. That Devious Ocarina of Time Adult Link is the first one to come to mind as well.
It doesn't surprise me as this was the one that got me into the franchise.

@LinkSkywalker id OoT Adult Link was not your first or your prefered one, why did you think he's the first time that comes to mind?

I imagine it probably comes from the fact that Ocarina of Time was the newest & most loved game right around the time I was really getting into the Zelda series. Most of the people around me played OoT as their first game. Everyone used adult link from OoT when they designed their websites, or their forum avatars / banners.

And while I do like them more, older versions of link never really had the kind of screen presence that OoT Link did. They were represented by sprites with a limited moveset. For most of the game, you were looking down at their hat. OoT link seemed a little more like a real person I imagine.

The "A Link To The Past for GBA" link is the ones that comes to my mind first because it toke me a lot of time to complete it :p

Adult Link from Smash Bro: Melee. It's because Link's name is never actually mentioned in OoT (my first Zelda game), so Melee was the first game I played that actually said 'Link'. Before that, the name Link was some distant trivia.

Good point. The Smash games are do bring a lot of attention to it. SSB was my first smash and I remember the chants of cheers and when you selected the character.
Maybe that influenced my OoT image somewhat.

Me, I respond like it is my own name..... I have been called Link before by people since my Xbox gamertag has Link in it LOL

It has been my alias online for alot of stuff, since 2000.

There are a few places, CM30's site where someone Linkblocked me and took the name (They havent logged in since June)
